Thompson's &c. Estates.

ORDERED, That the Committee, to whom the Bill concerning Thompson, Nelthrop, and others, Bankrupts, was committed, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon, in the Place formerly appointed.

Vale Navigation.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom the Bill for making navigable the River Vale is committed, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon in the Place formerly appointed.

Gresham's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill for vesting the Rectory of Westerham in the County of Kent in Trustees, to be sold for Payment of the Debts of Edward Gresham Esquire, was read the Third time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for vesting the Rectory of Westerham in the County of Kent in Trustees, to be sold for Payment of the Debts of Edward Gresham Esquire.

Restoring Lord Audley, &c.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act for restoring the Honour of Baron Audley of Hely, to James Lord Audley and others therein mentioned; and also for restoring them in Blood; with the Amendments thereto; was read the Third time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments, do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for restoring the Honour of Baron Audley of Hely to James Lord Audley, and others therein mentioned; the Words "and also for restoring them in Blood" being omitted; for that, by the Amendments that Part of the Bill is to be left out.

Bills sent to Lords.

Ordered, That the Lord Gorge do carry up the Bill on the Behalf of the Lord Audley, with the Amendments, to the Lords for their Concurrence: And do acquaint their Lordships, That this House has agreed to the Bill for Uniting of several Rectories sine cura, to the Vicarages within the Diocese of St. Asaph, without Amendment; as also to the Bill on the Behalf of Francis Shalcross Esquire: And do carry up the Bill on the Behalf of Mr. Gresham; as also the Bill on the Behalf of Sir Trevor Williams, for their Lordships Concurrence: And do likewise put the Lords in mind of the Bill, sent from this House, intituled, An Act for suppressing the Growth of Popery.

Smith's Estate.

A Bill to enable Trustees to sell Lands, for Payment of the Debts of Sir Thomas Smith Baronet, deceased, was read the Third time.

A Debate arising in the House thereupon;

Resolved, &c. That the Bill do lie upon the Table: And that the Debate be adjourned until this Day Sevennight.

Private Business.

Ordered, That no private Business be proceeded in after Ten of the Clock.

Bills depending.

Ordered, That the Clerk attending this House do deliver in a List of the publick Bills depending before the House; and also, of those that have been sent up to the Lords this Session.

Debate on Leagues, &c.

The House then took up the Debate concerning the Leagues made with the States General of the United Provinces.

Exceptions to a Member's Words.

Exceptions being taken at some Words, which fell from Mr. Goreing in this Debate; and the Words being written down by the Clerk; and the same being as followeth; viz.

"I have heard many Gentlemen on this Side of the House make many Complaints against the Ministers of State of Mismanagement: I desire they will first give a Test, that they do not desire to creep into their Places; or that they may give Security, that they will act better, if they come into their Places. For my Part, I see no Ill these have done."

And Mr. Goreing standing up in his Place; and explaining himself, as followeth, viz.

I have heard many Complaints on that Side of the House against Ministers of State for Mismanagement; and I intended no particular Reflection; and I am very sorry if I have offended; and desire the Pardon of the House;

And Mr. Goreing being withdrawn;

Ordered, That Mr. Goreing be called to his Place; and do receive an Admonition from Mr. Speaker.

And Mr. Goreing being come to his Place, Mr. Speaker, acquaints him, That the House had considered of his Words, and of his Explanation and Submission; and were satisfied; but injoined him not to use any such reflective Expressions for the future.

Debate on Leagues.

Ordered, That the Debate concerning the Leagues be adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Ten of the Clock.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
