Prayers.

Mulso's Estate.

A BILL to enable Trustees to sell Lands for Payment of the Debts of Tanfeild Mulso Esquire, deceased; and raising Portions for his three Daughters; was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time.

Clithero Election.

A Petition of Sir Ralph Ashton, complaining of an undue Return of Sir Tho. Stringer, to serve for the Borough of Clithero in the County of Lancaster, in Injury of the Petitioner, who was duly elected, and ought to have been returned, was read.

Ordered, That the said Petition be referred to the Consideration of the Committee of Elections and Privileges; to examine the Matter; and report the same, with their Opinions therein, to the House.

Taking Affidavits.

A Bill to prevent Abuses in taking Affidavits in the Country, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time.

Contributions for Officers of the House.

A Motion being made, for a Contribution of the Members, to reward the Officers and Servants of the House;

Ordered, That every Knight of the Shire do pay Ten Shillings; and every Burgess Five, as a Contribution to reward the Officers and Servants of the House: And that the Clerk do collect the same: And that those Members that are absent, do pay double: And that the Clerk do to that End deliver in a List of such Members as are absent, on Wednesday next.

Berwick Election.

A Petition of Mr. John Rushworth, complaining of an undue Return of Peregrine Lord Viscount Dumblaine, to serve for the Town of Berwick upon Tweed, in Injury of the Petitioner, who was duly elected, and ought to have been returned, was read.

Ordered, That the said Petition be referred to the Consideration of the Committee of Privileges and Elections; to examine the Matter, and report the same, with their Opinions therein, to the House.

Supply for disbanding the Army.

The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Motion for a Supply to be given to his Majesty, for Paying and Disbanding all the Forces raised since the Twenty-ninth of September last.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir John Trevor took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir John Trevor reports from the said Committee, That the Committee had taken the Matter into Consideration; and had agreed upon a Vote: Which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table. And the said Vote, being read to the House, was, upon the Question, agreed; and is as followeth:

Resolved, &c. That a Supply be granted to his Majesty towards the paying and disbanding of all the Forces that have been raised since the Twenty-ninth of September last.

Arrears to Forces.

Ordered, That the Committee appointed to examine what remains now due to the Forces that are to be disbanded, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon, in the Place formerly appointed.

Ashburton Election.

A Petition of Tho. Reynoll, complaining of an undue Return of Rawlin Mallock and Wm. Sitawell Esquires, to serve as Burgesses for the Borough of Ashburton in the County of Devon, in Injury of the Petitioner, who was duly elected, and ought to have been returned one of the Burgesses.

Ordered, That the said Petition be referred to the Committee of Elections and Privileges, to examine the Matter, and report the same, with their Opinions therein, to the House.
