Turkish Pirates.

Mr. Treasurer reports, concerning the Message delivered from this House to his Majesty, concerning the sending of some ships to scour the Seas, in regard of the Turkish Pirates that are upon our Coasts, and have lately taken Three of our Ships, that he had acquainted his Majesty herewith; who immediately sent to my Lord Admiral forthwith to send away Two Ships, to scour the Seas; which his Lordship gave Command forthwith to be done; and, to that End, sent to Capt. Penington; from whom he had lately heard, that, upon Inquiry of the Holland Fleet, and Spanish Fleet, as they passed our Coasts, he could not be informed of any Turkish Fleet upon our Seas:

King's Revenue, &c.

"His Majesty, being, by me, acquainted with the great Care and Affection of the House of Commons to advance and settle his Majesty's Revenue, doth very graciously interpret the same; and hath commanded me, to give the House Thanks for it, in his Name: And his Majesty doth give the House free Leave, to enter into the Debate of his Majesty's Revenues and Expences, as is desired; and hath given Order, that all his Officers and Ministers, from time to time, shall assist the House therein, as there shall be Occasion."

To-morrow Morning, Nine of the Clock, 'tis appointed to enter into the Debate of his Majesty's Revenue and Expenses: And Mr. Speaker is then to put the House in mind of this Order: And humble Thanks are to be returned from this House to his Majesty, by Mr. Treasurer, for his Majesty's gracious Message.

Conference.

Mr. Treasurer is to go up to the Lords, and acquaint them, that this House is ready to give their Lordships a present Meeting, by a Committee of both Houses, in the Painted Chamber, if it may stand with their Lordships Conveniency.

Leave of Absence.

Mr. Exton of Southampton, has Licence to be absent for a time, by reason of Indisposition of Health, and of his Sister's Death, who has made him her Executor.

Starch Patent.

The Knights and Burgesses of the County of Norfolk, and the Burgesses of Lyn, are appointed to examine the Witnesses, that are brought hither by Jo. Taverner, and Gilbert * of Linne, in the Business concerning Starch; and they are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of Clock, in the Court of Wards; and Sir H. Mildmay is added to this Committee.

Grey's, &c. Petition.

The Petition of Geo. Grey, and Anth. Allen, on the Behalf of themselves, and the Tenants to the Dean and Chapter of Durham, was read; and referred to the Committee, that is appointed to prepare the Charge against Mr. Secretary Windebank.

Charge against Windebank.

Mr. Tho. Coke, Alderman Pennington, Sir Tho. Widrington, Mr. Hide, Sir H. Anderson, and Sir Ra. Hopton, are added to that Committee: And they are to meet on Monday in the Afternoon, in the Duchy-chamber; and they are to go on with the Charge against Mr. Secretary Windebank, though he does absent himself: And the Petition of Wm. Wall, now with the Committee for Grievances, is referred to the same Committee.

Corff Castle Writ.

Ordered, A Warrant to issue forth, under Mr. Speaker's Hand, directed to the Clerk of the Crown, for a new Writ, for the Electing of another Burgess to serve for the Town of Corff Castle, in the County of Dorsett, in the Room and Stead of Mr. Secretary Windebank.

Conference.

Mr. Treasurer, Mr. Hollys, Sir Tho. Roe, Mr. St. Johns, Mr. Pimme, Mr. White, are appointed Reporters of the Conference with the Lords.

Warwick Writ.

Ordered, A Warrant to issue forth, under Mr. Speaker's Hand, directed to the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery, for a new Writ for Electing of a Burgess, to serve in this Parliament for the Town of Warwick, in the Room and Stead of Sir Th. Lucye, formerly returned, and since dead.

Newcastle Writ.

It was likewise moved for Newcastle, to have a Warrant for a new Writ for Electing of a Burgess for that Town, in the Room and Stead of Sir Jo. Melton, formerly returned a Burgess for that Town, and since is dead: But there being a Petition depending before the Committee for Privileges, questioning the Election of Sir Jo. Melton, no Warrant is to issue forth, until the Committee has delivered their Opinions, touching that Election.

Ship-money.

The Committee concerning the rigorous Levying of Ship-Money, being now sine die, is appointed to meet this Afternoon, at Two of Clock, in the Exchequer-chamber.
