THE Amendments on the Bill against the Decaying of Towns and Houses of Husbandry, were this Day read the Third Time, as they were ingrossed in the Bill; and thereupon the said Bill, with the Amendments, Expedit.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for Amendment of Highways, in the Counties of Sussex, Surrey, and Kent.

Lessees and Patentees.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, An Act, That Lessees may enjoy their Leases against all Patentees, their Heirs and Assigns, notwithstanding any Default of Payment of their Rents during the Time that the Reversion or Inheritance remained in the Crown.

A Writ of Certiorari, for certifying the Act of the Town Lands of Wanting, brought 11th February, and returned, with the Copy of the Act, the 13th of February.

A Writ concerning Arthur Hatch, brought 11th February, and returned 14th.

A Writ concerning the Possessions of Sir Henry Unton, brought 12th February, and returned 14th of February.

A Writ concerning the Jointure of Christian Lady Sandes, brought 15th of February, and returned the 16th of the same.

A Writ concerning the Jointure of Ann Lady Wentwoorth, &c. brought 16th February, and returned the 17th of the same.

A Writ for the Confirmation, and better Assurance and Conveyance, of certain Lands, &c. given and intended to an Hospital, or Maison de Dieu, in Warwick, brought 15th February, and returned the same Day.

A Writ for the Act, That the Lord Mountjoye may dispose of his Lands, whereof he is Tenant in Tail, &c. brought 22d February, and returned the same Day.

A Writ for certifying the Act for establishing the Hospital of Queen Elizabeth, in Bristol, for Relief of the Orphans and Poor there, brought 23d February, and returned also the same Day.

A Writ concerning the Naturalizing of certain Englishmens Children, and others, born beyond the Seas, brought 26th March, and returned the same Day.

A Writ concerning the Confirmation of the Jointure of the Lady Varney, brought 28th March, and returned the same Day.

A Writ for certifying the Act prohibiting the bringing into this Realm of any Foreign Cards for Wool, brought 29th March, and returned the same Day.

A Writ concerning the better Maintenance and well keeping of Stanes Bridge, and Egham Cawsey, being the Highway from London, unto the West Parts of England, dated 27th May, 1598, and returned 27th June, 1599.

A Writ for certifying the Act touching the School of Sevenock, dated 19th August, and returned 28th November, 1598.

A Writ for certifying the Act for Establishment of the New College of the Poor of Cobham, in the County of Kent, dated 6th May, 1598, and returned the 10th of the same.

A Writ for certifying the Act concerning the establishing of the Lands given by John Bedford's Will, for the Repairing the Highways at Ailesbury, &c. dated 8th April, and returned 3d May, 1598.

Subsidy.

"La Royne remercie ses Loyaulx Subjects, accepte leur Benevolence, et ausi le veult."

Pardon.

"Les Prelatz, Seigneurs, et Commons, en ce present Parliament assembles, au Nom de tous voz autres Subjects, remercient tres humblement votre Majestie, et prient a Dieu, qu'il vous donne, en fanté, bonne vie et longue."

These to be written in the Head of every Act by the Clerk of the Parliament (as the Act is either Publick or Private) when Her Majesty hath given Her Consent.

To a Public Act allowed, "La Royne le veult."
To a Private Act allowed, "Soit faict comme il est desiré."
To such Acts as Her Majesty doth forbear to allow. "La Royne s'advisera."

Notes to be written at the Beginning and Ending of Private Acts, when they are certified into the Rolls: videlicet,

This to be written at the Head of every such Private Act.

Tricesimo nono, et ibidem continuato usque ad et in nonum diem Februarii tunc proxime sequentem, communi omnium Dominorum tam Spirituallum quam Temporalium et Communitatis Consensu, et Reglæ Majestatis tunc præsentis Assensu, inter alia, sancitum, inactitatum, ordinatum, et stabilitum suit sequeus hoe Statutum, ad verbum ut sequitur: videlicet,"

This to be written at the Foot.

"Ego Thomas Smyth, Armiger, Clericus Parliament torum, virtute Brevis supradictæ Dominæ nostræ Reginæ, de Certiorando mihi directi, et hiis annexi, certifico superius hoc Scriptum verum esse tenorem Actus Parliamenti supradicti in eo Breve expressi. In cujus Rei Testimonium, Sigillum Nomenque meam apposui atque subscripsi. Datum die, Anno Regni supradictæ Dominæ nostræ Reginæ, &c."
