Punishment of Offenders in the late Treason.

Report made to the House, by the Lord Archbishop of Canterburie, the first of the Committees that were appointed to consider what extraordinary Proceeding and Punishment were fit to be ordained for the Offenders in the late most horrible Treason, That the said Committees, having used the Opinion of the Lord Chief Justice of England in that Matter, and being informed by him that the Execution of the said Traitors may not conveniently be deferred, have forborn and given over to proceed any further therein.
