Unnecessary Delays in Execution.
THE Bill, intituled, An Act for the avoiding of
unnecessary Delays of Executions, brought into the
House by the Earl of Rutland, the first of the Committees, with certain Amendments thought meet to be
added; which Amendments being presently Twice read,
and found by their Lordships to be somewhat defective,
the Bill was re-committed to the former Committee, with
Addition of the Lord Treasurer, Earl of Northampton,
Lord Bishop of Elie, and the Lord Sheffeild, to consider
further thereof.
Appointed to meet upon Wednesday, the 12th of
this Instant, in the Morning, before the House
sit, at the Little Chamber. The Bill delivered,
20th of February, to the Lord Treasurer.
Report from the Conference.
Report made by the Lord Chancellor of the Conference with the Lower House upon Thursday last, the 6th
of this Instant; and the Articles brought to the House
by his Lordship, that were presented by the Committees
of the Lower House, were commanded presently to be
read; and afterwards the Articles, which the Lords
Committees delivered to the Committees of the Lower
House, were also read.
Conference to continue with the Committees.
Moved by the Lord Chancellor, That the Lords Committees might have Authority from the House to meet
with the Committees of the Lower House, at Times
convenient; which was assented unto; but thought necessary that, before such Meeting with the Lower House,
the Lords Committees of this House should meet, to consider among themselves of the said Articles, so as they
might be the better prepared for the next Conference
with those of the Lower House; which was likewise
agreed upon; and thereupon the said Lords Committees
Appointed to meet upon Wednesday, the 12th of
