Appointed to meet at the Painted Chamber, near
the Parliament Presence, upon Tuesday next, the
8th of this Instant April, by Twoin the Afternoon. The Bill delivered to the Lord Archbishop.
Moved by the Lord Treasurer, and Agreed on by the
House, That the Judges, and His Majesty's Learned
Counsel before-mentioned, shall consider before-hand
of the said Bill of Purveyors, for the better Information of the Lords Committees at their Meeting on the same.
Earl of Pembroke's Privilege Billings arrested.
Upon Complaint made to the Lords by the Earl of
Shrewsburie, That one Captain Roger Billings, Servant
to the Earl of Pembroke, hath been lately arrested, and
committed to the Prison of The Compter in Woodstreet,
at the Suit of one Lewis Evans, a Tailor, in Pater Noster
Row, contrary to the Honour and Privilege of this Court;
it is Ordered by the House, That the said Roger
Billings shall be removed out of Prison, and brought,
by the Sheriffs of London and Middlesex, into the said
Upper House, before the Lords, upon Monday next,
the 7th of this Instant April, by Nine of the Clock in
the Morning, to the End that, upon Examination of the
Matter by their Lordships, such farther Order may be
taken concerning him, as to the Privilege of the said
Court shall appertain; and it is also Ordered, That as
well the said Lewis Evans, as one Edward Fisher, and
any others that assisted the Arrest, shall be brought at
the said Time and Place prefixed, before the Lords, by
the Serjeant at Arms attending the House, to answer for
their Breach of Privilege of the said Court.
Government of Wales.
Upon a Motion of the Lord Chandos, it was Agreed
by the House, That the Counsel Learned on both Parts,
concerning the Bill for the Marches of Wales, should be
heard at the Meeting of the Committees upon Monday
next, the 7th of April, in the Afternoon.
Free Liberty of Trade.
The Meeting of the Committees on the Bill for Free
Trade with Spayne, Portugall, Fraunce, etc. put over till
Wednesday, the 9th of this Instant, by Two in the Afternoon, at the Council Chamber.

Message from the Lower House, delivered by Mr.
Solicitor and others, for Conference with the Lords,
touching Matters Ecclesiastical.
Answer.
Answer sent by Mr. Attorney General and Sir Edward Stanhope:
That, although the Lords were willing to yield them
Conference, yet for that the Proposition is very general,
they desire to be before-hand certified what the Causes
and Particulars are, to the End they may be the better
prepared to give Answer.
Hereunto the Lower House sent Answer, by Sir
Henry Nevile and others:
Causes whereon Conference was requested.
That the Causes whereon they desired Conference
were Four: videlicet,
1. The Silencing of Ministers.
2. The Multiplicity of Ecclesiastical Commissions.
3. The Manner of Citations.
4. The Point of Excommunication.
Answered again by the Lords, That, so soon as conveniently they might, they would send Answer, by some
of their own House.
Afterwards, upon much Debate, whether the said
Conference should be yielded unto or no, the farther
Consideration and Resolution thereon was deferred till
Monday Morning next.
