Le Gris and Cotterell.

THE Bill, intituled, An Act for the Performance and Execution of a Decree in the Chancery, made between William Le Gris, Plaintiff, and Robert Cotterell, Defendant, was this Day brought into the House, by the Lord Chamberlain, the first of the Committees, who made Report to the House, That the Lords Committees had endeavoured to mediate an Agreement between the said Parties; but, being not able to bring the same to Effect, have returned the said Bill to the House as aforesaid, with certain Amendments.

The Earl of Salisburie's Bill was brought into the House, by the Lord Archbishop of Cant. the first of the Committees, with certain Amendments added upon the Re-commitment thereof; which Amendments were presently Twice read, and thereupon the Bill, with the said Amendments, commanded forthwith to be ingrossed.

Free Liberty of Trade.

The Bill for Free Trade with Spayne, Portugall, and Fraunce, brought into the House, by the Lord Archbishop, the first of the Committees, with certain Amendments; which were presently Twice read; and thereupon the said Amendments appointed to be ingrossed in Paper, against the Third Reading of the Bill.

Weavers Estates in Worcester.

The Bill concerning the Weavers of Worcester, brought into the House by the Earl of Pembroke, the second of the Committees, who made Report, That the said Bill being found by the Committees not meet to be proceeded in, they have therefore framed a new Bill for the Relief of the said Weavers, which his Lordship offered to the House.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the Assuring of certain small Parcels of Ground to Robert Earl of Salisbury and his Heirs, for the Enlargement and commodious Use of his Mansion House in The Strond, now called Salisbury House; and for Recompence to be given for the same.

Wherrymen, &c.

The said Two Bills, and the Bill concerning Wherrymen and Watermen, sent to the Lower House, by Mr. Serjeant Crooke and Mr. Dr. Hone; the First for their Consideration of certain Amendments, the Second sent as passed by this House, the Third for their like Consideration of certain Amendments, and a Proviso thought meet to be added by the Lords.

Road from Nonsuch to Talworth. Exped.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for Repairing of the Highway from Nonesuch to Talworth, in the Parishes of Ewell and Longe Ditton, in the County of Surrey, leading to King ston upon Thames, in the County aforesaid.

Chepstow Bridge.

The Bill concerning Chepstow Bridge, returned to the House, by the Earl of Worcester, the second of the Committees, with certain Amendments, which were presently Twice read; and thereupon the said Amendments appointed to be ingrossed in Paper.

Ecclesiastical Matters.

Message to the Lower House, by Mr. Serjeant Crooke and Mr. Dr. Hone: That whereas Time served not the last Day of Conference to hear them speak of the Three Points remaining of Ecclesiastical Matters: videlicet,

1. The Multiplicity of Commissions.

2. The Matter of Citations.

3. And Point of Excommunication.

The Lords are willing (fn. 1) to meet upon Monday next, at Three in the Afternoon, at the Painted Chamber.

Answer, That although they had appointed Business of great Importance at that Time, yet they will put off that, and give Meeting, at the Time and Place prefixed.

Signified also, That the Bill of Free Trade with Spayne, Portugall, and Fraunce, was received with great Applause.

Recusants, &c.

The Committees on the Two Bills concerning Recufants were appointed to meet again upon Tuesday next, the Sixth of May, by Two in the Afternoon, at the Council Chamber in Court.
