Naturalization of the Scots.

THIS Day the Judges delivered their Opinion, as they were required Yesterday, touching the Point in Law for the Naturalization of the Scottish; every of them speaking thereunto in particular, beginning at the youngest or lowest, and the rest following one after another, unto the Lord Chief Justice of England, who spake last in Order, as followeth: videlicet,

1. Mr. Baron Altome.

2. Mr. Justice Tanfeild.

3. Mr. Baron Snigg.

4. Mr. Justice Daniell.

5. Mr. Justice Yelverton.

6. Mr. Justice Warberton.

7. Mr. Justice Fenner.

8. Mr. Justice Walmisley.

9. Lord Chief Baron.

10. Lord Chief Justice of the Common Pleas.

11. Lord Chief Justice of England.

In this Report and Delivery of their Opinions, they did all concur (Justice Walmisley only excepted), That such of the Scottish as have been, or shall be, born in Scotland, since His Majesty's coming to the Crown, are not Aliens, but are inheritable in this Realm by the Law (as it now stands in Force), as native English. For Justice Willyams (being absent), the Lord Chief Justice did undertake and affirm, that he was of the same Opinion.
