PRAYERS.

Grant to Lord Grey.

ORDERED, That the Five hundred Pounds appointed to my Lord Grey, out of Mr. Jessen's Assessment, by former Order, be referred to the Committee for assessing Members, where Mr. Trenchard has the Chair; to receive it out of the first Monies that shall come in, by Report from that Committee.

Affairs in Leicester.

Ordered, That the Letter this Day read, from Captain Grey, from Leicester, be referred to the Committee of both Kingdoms, to consider of the Differences between the Committee and the Soldiers; and to take some such Course as may settle the Peace, and provide for the Safety of that County.

Delinquents Estates.

Ordered, That the Information, this Day presented to the House, by my Lord Grey, of One thousand One hundred Pounds discovered by him, of Delinquents Estates not yet discovered, be referred to the Consideration of the Committee for Examinations, to examine the State of these Monies; and, if it shall appear upon good Proof to belong to the State, and to be first discovered by my Lord Grey, that, upon Report thereof to the House, it be paid to Mr. Hallowes, upon Account, to recruit the said Lord Greye's Regiment of Horse: Who is to see the Disbursement of the said Monies, and the buying of such Horses, and other Necessaries, as shall be requisite; and to give an Account of all to the House.

Letter referred.

Ordered, That the Letter, of the Twelfth of April, from Edinburgh, from the Lord Lowdon Lord Chancellor of Scotland, to the Commissioners of Scotland here, concerning one Wm. Stewart of Glasgow, Merchant, and the Certificate of the Mayor, and other Captains, and Officers of Londonderry, be referred to the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall, to relieve the Petitioners.

Sidney's Arrears.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee for Ireland, to consider how Four hundred Pounds may be advanced towards Payment of Colonel Sidney his Arrears, for Service done in Ireland; to enable him to march in Service under my Lord of Manchester; and to report the same to the House.

King's Revenue.

Sir H. Vane sen. presented, from the Committee of the King's Revenue, a brief Account of all the Monies received and issued by Order of the Committee for the Revenue: The which was read, and allowed of.

Motions for Money.

Ordered, That no Motions or Orders shall be made for assigning of Monies upon the Revenue, but between the Hours of Ten and Twelve.

Earl of Nottingham.

Ordered, That the Consideration of the Earl of Nottingham, in respect of his annual Pension granted by Patents, be referred wholly to the Committee for the King's Revenue, to supply his Necessities, in such manner as may stand with the Affairs and Necessities of the Commonwealth, and of that Revenue.

Alnage Money.

Ordered, That the Consideration of the Revenue of the Alnage Money, and of the bringing it in, be referred to the Committee for the King's Revenue.

Army Arrears.

An Ordinance for Payment of the Arrears due to Portesmouth, Hurst, Caleshott, and South Sea Castles, and certain Officers employed in the Parliament Service, out of such Monies as are not yet discovered, and shall be discovered by the said Officers, was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon Question, committed unto the Committee of the Four associated Counties of Kent, Sussex, Surry, and Hants.

Letter to Scotch Parliament.

Sir H. Vane jun. presented, from the Committee, the Draught of a Letter to be sent from this Parliament to the Parliament in Scotland: . . . was this Day read; and assented unto; and ordered to be sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence, by Sir Rob. Pye: Who is to acquaint the Lords that the Post goes away on Monday next; and the Parliament sits on Tuesday come Sevennight.

Message to Lords.

He is likewise to carry up the Ordinances concerning the Signing of Bills, signable by Mr. Attorney-General, by Mr. Solicitor: Concerning the Excise of Hull to the Lord Fairefaxe: Concerning Mr. Gamull's Legacies: Concerning the reimbursing of Monies due to Captain Wm. Edwards.

Finche's Petition.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Edw. Leech * *;

The Lords have commanded us to deliver unto you this Petition from Serjeant Finche, an Assistant of their House: Their Lordships think it very reasonable; but, for the effecting of it, they desire it may be referred to the Committee of Lords and Commons for Sequestrations: And desire the Concurrence of this House.

Ordered, That the Petitions of the Earl of Mulgrave, the Countess of Dorsett, and Serjeant Finch, sent from the Lords at divers Messages, be read, peremptorily, on Tuesday Morning next: And Mr. Speaker is to put the House in mind hereof.

Relief of Plymouth.

An Ordinance for the Relief and Preservation of the Town and Fort of Plymouth, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed unto the Committee for the Western Counties.

Navy.

Ordered, That Mr. Green do, on Monday next, at Nine of Clock, peremptorily, make his Report of the State of the Fleet at Sea; of the Navy; and of the Monies and Engagements of the Navy.

And it is Ordered, That the Letter from my Lord Admiral, from on board the James, of One-and-twentieth of May, be then read.

Windesore Castle, &c.

An Ordinance for paying the Arrears, and future Maintenance, of the Garison in Windesore Castle, was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed unto Mr. Recorder, Mr. Grimston, Sir Walt. Erle, Mr. Holland, Mr. Whitelock, Sir Hen. Vane sen. Mr. Cage, Mr. Wheeler, Mr. Hobby, Mr. Danch, Sir Jo. Hippisley, Mr. Fountaine, Sir Martin Lamley, Sir Tho. Barrington, Mr. Lisle, Mr. Gourdon, Mr. Winwood, Sir Hen. Mildmay, Lord Wenman, Mr. Ashherst, Sir Gilb. Gerard, Mr. Vassall, Sir Gilb. Pykering, Mr. Lane, Sir John Curson, Sir Tho. Soame, Sir Robt. Pye, Mr. Blakston; And they are to meet on Monday next, at Two of Clock, in the Exchequer Chamber: And are to consider of providing a present Supply for the Garison in Windesore; to examine the Arrears and the Monies received; and to give Order for the speedy Mustering of that Garison: They are likewise to consider what is fit to be done concerning Redding, and Greenland House: And have Power to send for Parties, &c.

Sir Rob. Pye brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to the Letter to be sent to the Parliament in Scotland: And, as to the other Ordinances and Messages carried up by him, they will send Answer by Messengers of their own.

Leicestershire.

Ordered, That the Ordinance concerning Leicestershire be read the first Business on Monday Morning.

Money for Lyme.

Ordered, That the Committee at Haberdashers Hall do furnish the Three hundred Pounds, to be paid out of the Twentieth Part of Sir Edw. Yates' Estate, for the Town of Lyme, according to former Order.
