vesting a Mortgage of Humphrey Courtney Esquire,
deceased, in Trustees, to be sold, to discharge the
Mortgages, Debts, and Incumbrances, on the said
Estate."
Litchfield Canons and Deanry, Bill.

vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for
augmenting the Number of Canons Residentiary in
the Cathedral Church of Litchfield, and for improving the Deanry and Prebends of the said Cathedral."
Cary and Hatley's Bill;
Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and
put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act
to empower Thomas Cary and George Hatley, of London, Merchants, to import the Remainder of a Quantity of French Wines from Copenhagen, contracted for
before the First Day of January One Thousand Seven
Hundred and Four."
After some Time, the House was resumed.
And the Duke of Richmond reported, "That the
Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think
it fit to pass, with some Amendments."
Which were read.
Portugal Merchants Pet. against the Clause for Importation of French Wines, rejected.
A Petition of the Merchants trading to Portugal was
read, against the Clause for importing French Wines.
Ordered, That the said Petition be rejected.
Then the Amendments reported were read a Second
Time.
The Question was put, "Whether this House shall
agree with the Committee in these Amendments?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
Sir John Humble's Bill.
Hodie 2a
vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to
enable Sir John Humble Baronet, and his Trustees, to
settle several Messuages, Lands, and Hereditaments,
lying in the Counties of Lincoln, Surrey, and Kent,
pursuant to the Articles and Agreements made upon
his Marriage with Dame Sarah his now Wife."
Ordered, That the Consideration of the said last
mentioned Bill be referred to the same Committee to
whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of the
Manor of Barwick-Hall, and other Lands, in the County of Essex, the Estate of William Forbes Esquire;
and for purchasing other Lands, to be settled to the
same Uses," stands committed.
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on
Friday the Fifteenth Day of this Instant February, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the
Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers;
and to adjourn as they please.

The Lord Herbert reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Scrope Lord
Viscount Howe in the Kingdom of Ireland to make
a certain Provision for his Daughters by his First
Wife; that which was intended being, as expressed
in the Marriage Settlement, uncertain and contingent," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.
Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill
ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

the Sale of Lands late of John Ballett Gentleman,
