PRAYERS.

The Lord Keeper acquainted the House, "That Her Majesty had sent a Commission for the further proroguing of this Parliament."

Then the Lords Commissioners, in their Robes, being seated on a Form placed between the Throne and the Woolsack; the Lord Keeper in the Middle; the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury and the Lord Bishop of London on his Right Hand; and the Earl of Manchester and Lord Dartmouth on his Left Hand; commanded the Deputy Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to go to the House of Commons, and let them know, "That the Commissioners desire they would be present, to hear the said Commission read."

Who being come, their Speaker being absent; the Commission was read, as followeth; (videlicet,)

De Fidelitate igitur, Prudentia, & Circumspectionibus vestris plurimum confidentes, de Avisamento & Assensu Concilii Nostri, assignavimus vos Commissionarios Nostros; dantes vobis, & aliquibus Tribus vel pluribus vestrum, Tenore Præsentium, plenam Potestatem & Auctoritatem, hoc instante Die Martis, ad præsens Parliamentum Nostrum, Nomine Nostro, usque ad & in Diem Jovis, Vicesimum Primum Diem Novembris jam prox. sequen. apud prædictam Civitatem Nostram Westm. prorogandum & continuandum, ibidemque tunc tenendum & prosequendum; & ideo vobis mandamus, quod circa Præmissa diligenter intendatis, ac ea in Forma prædicta effectualiter expleatis. Damus autem universis & singulis Archiepiscopis, Ducibus, Marchionibus, Comitibus, Vicecomitibus, Episcopis, Baronibus, Militibus, Civibus, & Burgensibus, ac omnibus aliis quorum interest ad dictum Parliamentum Nostrum conventuris, Tenore Præsentium, firmiter in Mandatis, quod vobis in Præmissis faciendis, agendis, & exercendis, pareant, obediant, & intendant, prout decet. Then the Lord Keeper said;

Parliament prorogued.

" My Lords and Gentlemen,

" By Virtue of Her Majesty's Commission now read, and to us directed, we do, in Her Majesty's Name, prorogue this Parliament to Thursday the One and Twentieth Day of November next: And this Parliament is prorogued accordingly to Thursday the One and Twentieth Day of November next."
