Ld. Hunsdon takes his Seat.

This Day William Ferdinand Carey, Baron of Hunsdon, sat first in Parliament, after the Death of Robert late Lord Hunsdon; and took the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, and the Oath of Abjuration, and also made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Hudson's Bay Company, against the Bill for encouraging the Trade to America.

Upon reading the Petition of the Governor and Company of Adventurers of England trading into Hudson's Bay; praying, "That they may be heard, by their Counsel, before the passing of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Encouragement of the Trade to America:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners shall be heard on Tuesday next, at Eleven a Clock, according to the Prayer of their Petition.

Parke's Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to empower the Lord High Treasurer of Great Britain, or Commissioners of the Treasury, to compound with Richard Parke, Citizen and late Merchant of London, for a Debt due to Her Majesty."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Friday next.

St. Paul's Cathedral Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for rendering more effectual the Act made in the First Year of Her Majesty's Reign, for the finishing and adorning the Cathedral Church of St. Paul's, London."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendment, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with an Amendment to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Hiccocks and Mr. Meddlycot:

To return the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence to their Lordships Amendment made thereunto.

Court of Exchequer in North Britain, Establishment, Bill.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for settling and establishing a Court of Exchequer in the North Part of Great Britain, called Scotland."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee of the whole House had made some Progress in the Bill; and desire another Time may be appointed, for the House to proceed therein.

Ordered, That this House shall be put into a Committee again, to proceed further on the said Bill, on Wednesday next, at Twelve a Clock.

Adjourn.
