vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for
making the Ships The Barclay Castle and James of Montross free Ships."
Frauds relating to Stamp Duties, to prevent, Bill.
The House (pursuant to Order) was adjourned during
Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill,
intituled, "An Act for redressing and preventing several
Frauds and Practices relating to Her Majesty's Duties
upon Stamped Vellum, Parchment, and Paper; and
regulating the Clerks and Attornies of the Courts
of Queen's Bench and Common Pleas at Westminster."
After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.
And the Earl of Winchilsea reported, "That the
Committee of the whole House had gone through
the Bill; and think it fit to pass, with some Amendments; which his Lordship is ready to report, when
the House thinks fit."
Then the said Amendments were read Twice, and
agreed to by the House.
Marquis Lindsey's Bill.

confirming to Robert Marquis of Lindsey, Lord Great
Chamberlain of England, and his Heirs, a House, and
enclosed Fourth Part of the Park of Havering, in the
County of Essex, in Recompence and Satisfaction of
his Interests in the Office or Custody of the said
House and Park."
Upon the Second Reading of the Bill, intituled,
An Act for confirming to Robert Marquis of Lindsey,
Lord Great Chamberlain of England, and his Heirs,
a House, and enclosed Fourth Part of the Park of
Havering, in the County of Essex, in Recompence
and Satisfaction of his Interests in the Office or Custody of the said House and Park:"
And a Debate arising, "Whether the said Bill should
be committed:"
It is thereupon Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual
and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said
Debate shall be, and is hereby, adjourned to Monday
next, at Twelve a Clock; at which Time the Lord
Great Chamberlain of England shall be heard, by his
Counsel, in relation to the said Bill; as also Her Majesty's Counsel, what they have to offer in relation
thereto.
Papers concerning the Exportation of Corn.
The Commissioners of Customs (pursuant to Order)
delivered several Papers, relating to the Transportation
and Prices of Corn.
Whereas this Day was appointed for the House to
take into Consideration the transporting of Corn at
this Juncture:
It is Ordered, That this House will take the same
into Consideration, together with the Papers this Day
delivered from the Commissioners of the Customs, on
Saturday next.
