This Day Henry Earl of Portland sat first in Parliament, upon the Death of his Father William Earl of
Portland; and took the Oaths, and made and subscribed
the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath
of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Upon reading, this Day, the Petition of Richard Gee
and his Wife, which was offered the Seventh Instant;
praying, "That the Day, which is appointed for hearing his Appeal, to which Edwin Lewes and others
are Respondents, may be put off to a further Day, his
Counsel being sick, as appears by an Affidavit annexed
to his Petition:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the
said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday the
Twentieth Day of this Instant December, at Eleven a
Clock; whereof the Appellant is to cause timely Notice
to be given to the Respondents.
