Message from H. C. to return Bigg's Bill;
A Message was brought from the House of Commons,
by Sir Robert Eden and others:
To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable
Trustees to recover the Personal Estates of William
Bigg and Isabel Bigg, now vested in John Bigg, a Lunatic, their Son and Heir, and Executor of his Father,
for the Payment of Debts and Legacies;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same,
without any Amendment.
and for a Conference on the Lords Amendment to the Edistone Lighthouse Bill.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons,
by Mr. Currance and others:
To desire a Conference with this House, upon the
Subject-matter of the Amendment made by their Lordships to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the explaining
and making more effectual the Acts of the Fourth and
Fifth Years of Her Majesty's Reign, for the better enabling the Master, Wardens, and Assistants of Trinity
House to rebuild the Lighthouse on the Edistone Rock."
To which the House agreed.

Then the Commons were called in, and told, "That
the Lords agree to a Conference, as desired; and appoint it presently, in the Painted Chamber."

Lords had attended the Conference; and the Commons acquainted the Lords, "That they have disagreed to the Amendment made by this House to the
said Bill; and gave their Reason for it."
Ordered, That this House will take into Consideration the Reason given by the House of Commons, for
disagreeing to their Lordships Amendment made to the
said Bill, on Saturday next.
Printed Books, for vesting the Copies of in the Authors, &c. Bill.
Ordered, That this House shall be put into a
Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the
Encouragement of Learning, by vesting the Copies
of printed Books in the Authors or Purchasers of
such Copies, during the Times therein mentioned," on
Saturday next.
Fornhill to Stony Stratford Highways, Bill.

E. of Stamford versus Sir J. Hobbart.
After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal
of Thomas Earl of Stamford and Mary Countess of
Stamford his Wife, from an Order or Decree made in
the Court of Chancery, the Nineteenth Day of December last, on the Behalf of Sir John Hobbart Baronet;
praying, "That the said Order or Decree may be set
aside and reversed:" As also upon the Answer of Sir
John Hobbart Baronet, an Infant, (by Francis Windham
Esquire, his next Friend,) put in thereunto, and Counsel
for the Honourable Charles Howard Esquire and Henrietta his Wife, as also for the Right Honourable
Mary Countess Dowager of Suffolk (who, upon their
Petitions, were allowed to be heard); and due Consideration of what was offered by Counsel thereupon:
Judgement affirmed.
It is this Day Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords
Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That
the said Petition and Appeal of Thomas Earl of Stamford and Mary Countess of Stamford his Wife shall be,
and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Order
or Decree therein complained of shall be, and is hereby,
affirmed.
