Jones versus Bennet.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Thomas Jones, from a Decree of Dismission made in the Court of Chancery in Ireland, the Second of December One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seven, on the Behalf of Thomas Bennet, deceased; praying the Reversal of the said Decree; and "that Anne Bennet Widow and Relict, and Michael Harbourne Gentleman, Executor of the said Thomas Bennet, may answer the said Appeal:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Anne Bennet and Michael Harbourne may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and are hereby required to put in their Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Wednesday the Thirteenth Day of February next, at Eleven of the Clock.

E. of Nottingham's Speech, Committee revived concerning.

Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lords Committees appointed to inquire who is the Author, Printer, and Publisher of a Paper, intituled, "The Earl of Nottingham's Speech to the Honourable House of Lords," be revived; and do meet To-morrow, at Eleven a Clock.

Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Conyers and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for granting an Aid to Her Majesty, to be raised by a Land Tax in Great Britain, for the Service of the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Twelve;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Land Tax Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for granting an Aid to Her Majesty, to be raised by a Land Tax in Great Britain, for the Service of the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Twelve."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, To-morrow, at Twelve a Clock.

Commissioners of Accompts, Report delivered.

The House being informed, "That Mr. King, from the Commissioners of Accompts, attended:"

He was called in; and delivered, at the Bar, "A Report of the Commissioners appointed by an Act of the last Session of Parliament, passed A 9 Annæ Reginæ, intituled, An Act for the taking, examining, and stating, the Public Accompts of the Kingdom."

And the Title thereof being read:

Ordered, That the said Report do lie on the Table, to be perused by the Lords.

Commissioners for Equivalent, Accompts delivered.

The House being informed, "That Sir Andrew Hume, One of the Commissioners for disposing of the Equivalent, attended:"

He was called in; and delivered, at the Bar, pursuant to an Order of this House of the last Session of Parliament, Two Papers, intituled as follows:

1. "General Abbreviate of the several Demands (in Money and Debentures) upon the Equivalent; the Payments made by the Commissioners; Debentures issued out by them; the Sums remaining unpaid of the Demands, to the 3d August, Anno 1711."

2. "State of the Cash of the Equivalent, to 3d August 1711."

And acquainted the House, "That the Vouchers, required by their Lordships said Order, are in Town."

Then the Titles of the said Papers being read;

Ordered, That the same do lie on the Table, to be perused by the Lords.
