Griffin's Bill.

The Earl of Scarsdale reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for enabling James Griffin Esquire, and Edward Griffin Son and Heir Apparent of the said James Griffin, to raise Money, to pay the Debts of the said James; and to make a Settlement, for the Benefit of themselves and their Family," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and made some Amendments thereunto."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to by the House.

Sir Streynsham Master versus Cooke and Ward:

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Sir Streynsham Master Knight, from a Decree, or Decretal Order, made by the Barons of Her Majesty's Court of Exchequer, the Fourth Day of June and Sixth Day of December One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eleven, on the Behalf of Frances Cooke Widow and John Ward Esquire; praying, "That the same may be reversed and set aside:" As also upon the Answer of the said Frances Cooke and John Ward put in to the said Appeal; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:

Judgement affirmed.

It is Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree, or Decretal Order, therein complained of, shall be, and is hereby, affirmed.

Adjourn.
