Naval Stores from America, Bill.
vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act
for continuing an Act made in the Third and Fourth
Years of the Reign of Her present Majesty, intituled,
An Act for encouraging the Importation of Naval
Stores from Her Majesty's Plantations in America;
and for encouraging the Importation of Naval Stores
from that Part of Great Britain called Scotland to that
Part of Great Britain called England."
Jones versus Bennet.
After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Thomas Jones, from a Decree of Dismission of
the Court of Chancery in Ireland, the 2d of December
1707, on the Behalf of Thomas Bennet deceased; praying "the Reversal of the said Decree; and that Ann
Bennet Widow, and Michael Harborne Gentleman,
Executor of the said Thomas Bennet, may answer the
said Appeal:" As also upon the Answer of the said
Anne Bennet and Michael Harborne put in thereunto; and
due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:
Judgement affirmed, with Costs.
It is Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the
said Petition and Appeal shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree therein complained of shall be, and is hereby, affirmed: And it
is further Ordered, That the said Appellant shall pay,
or cause to be paid, to the said Respondents, the Sum
of Forty Pounds, for their Costs.
Queen to be attended with the Address.
The Lords Steward acquainted the House, "That the
Lords with White Staves had (according to Order)
waited on Her Majesty, to know what Time She would
be pleased to appoint, to be attended by this House,
with their Address; and that Her Majesty had been
pleased to appoint To-morrow, at Six a Clock in the
Evening, at Kensington."
