With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for granting an Aid to Her Majesty, to be raised by a Land Tax in Great Britain, for the Service of the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fourteen;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Lockhart and others:

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for upholding and repairing the Bridges and Highways, in the County of Edinburgh;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Land Tax Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for granting an Aid to Her Majesty, to be raised by a Land Tax in Great Britain, for the Service of the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fourteen."

Wine-merchants Bonds, Bill.

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Monday next.

Dunstable and Hockley Highways, Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for making more effectual an Act, passed in the Ninth Year of Her Majesty's Reign, intituled, An Act for repairing the Highways between Dunstable and Hockley, in the County of Bedford."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Tuesday next.

Grove & al. versus Hooke:

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Thomas Grove and Elizabeth his Wife, William Hammond, William Dyer and Ann his Wife, Thomas Grove the Younger, John Hamond the Younger, and William Dyer the Younger, from a Decree, or Decretal Order, made in the Court of Chancery, the Twentieth Day of November last, in a Cause wherein Dame Hester Hooke Widow and Relict of Sir Hele Hooke Baronet, was Plaintiff, and the Petitioners and Mary late Wife of the said William Hamond were Defendants, et è contra; praying, "That the said Decree may be reversed, and the Petitioners relieved:" As also upon the Answer of the said Dame Hester Hooke put in thereunto; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:

Judgement affirmed.

It is Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree therein complained of be, and is hereby, affirmed.

Kirchhoff's Nat. Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Christian William Kirchhoff."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the rendering valid and effectual Two several Indentures of Demise and Mortgage, executed by Scrope late Lord Viscount Howe in the Kingdom of Ireland, deceased, by virtue of a former Act of Parliament made for enabling him thereunto, notwithstanding some Defects therein."

Loggin's Divorce Bill.

Whereas Tuesday next is appointed, for the House to be in a Committee on the Bill, intituled, "An Act for dissolving the Marriage of Francis Loggin with Sarah Gardner, and to enable him to marry again;" and to hear Counsel and Witnesses for the said Francis Loggin, as also for the said Sarah:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House shall be put into the said Committee on Thursday next, at Twelve a Clock.

Drawback on Salt; Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for allowing a Drawback upon the Exportation of Salt, to be made Use of for the curing of Fish taken at North Seas, or at Isleland."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Mortuaries in St. Asaph, &c. Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for taking away Mortuaries, within the Dioceses of Bangor, Landaff, St. David's, and St. Asaph, and giving a Recompence therefor to the Bishops of the said respective Dioceses; and for confirming several Letters Patents granted by Her Majesty, for perpetually annexing a Prebend of Gloucester to the Mastership of Pembroke College in Oxford, and a Prebend of Rochester to the Provostship of Oriel College in Oxford, and a Prebend of Norwich to the Mastership of Catherine Hall in Cambridge."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"
