Lord Morley's Privilege. Browne, &c. discharged.

WILLIAM Browne, Under Sheriff of Midd. Isaac Bringhurst, the Gaoler, and Jeffrey Kerry, the Bailiff that arrested Abraham Watts (Servant to the Lord Morley), are discharged of any Contempt therein, for that they knew him not to be the said Lord's Servant.

Warden of The Fleet discharged.

Alexander Harris, late Warden of The Fleet, was also brought to the Bar, (fn. 1) for causing the said Watts to be arrested Yesterday Morning; and it appearing to the Court, that the said Watts was his Prisoner upon Execution before, and had made an Escape, the said Alexander Harris was also discharged of his said Contempt.

And it was Ordered, That a Writ of Habeas corpus cum causa be awarded to the Guardian of The Fleet, commanding him to bring the Body of the said Abraham Watts before their Lordships the 13th of this December.

Officers Fees when Parties are cleared.

And the House was moved, That the Committee for Privileges, &c. should consider by whom the Fees should be paid to the Officers of this House, in Case where the Parties complained of to be Offenders are cleared of any Contempt.

John Chappell was also brought to the Bar, according to the Order here Yesterday Morning, but did not prove the Allegation in his Petition against William Whittingham, at whose Suit he was arrested.
