And, being put to the Question, was generally Assented unto.

Process of the Peace.

The Earl of Essex reported the Bill, An Act to prevent and punish the Abuses in procuring Process and Supersedeas of the Peace and Good Behaviour, out of His Majesty's Courts at Westm.; and to prevent the Abuses in procuring Writs of Certiorari out of the said Courts, for the removing of Indictments found before Justices of the Peace, in their General Sessions, as fit to pass.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa prædicta; and, being put to the Question, (fn. 1) was generally Assented unto, and so Expedited.

Message to the Commons, for Conference concerning Recusants.

Message sent to the Commons, by Mr. Serjeant Davis and Sir William Birde: That the Lords desire a Meeting presently (if their Occasions will permit), in the Painted Chamber, between the former Committees, touching the Petition, which is to be delivered unto His Majesty, against Jesuits, and Seminary Priests, and Popish Recusants.

And these Three Bills were sent to the Commons, by the said Messengers: videlicet,

Manor of Little Munden to Woodhall.

1. An Act to enable and make good a Conveyance and Assurance of the Manor of Little Munden, in the County of Herteford, by Sir Peter Vanlore, Knight, Sir Charles Cæsar, Knight, and Dame Ann his Wife, to Edmund Woodhall and his Heirs; and to establish the said Manor upon the said Edmund Woodhall and his Heirs, according to the said Conveyance.

Young's Naturalization.

2. An Act for the Naturalizing of John Young, Doctor of Divinity, and Dean of the Cathedral Church of Winchester.
