Lord Treasurer's Answer.

MR. Serjeant Davis and Mr. Serjeant Finch, who were sent on Saturday last in the Afternoon unto the Lord Treasurer, with Part of his Charge, and with the Order then made for his Lordship to appear here at the Bar on Thursday next, at Nine in the Morning, to answer the said Charge, &c. returned this Answer: videlicet,

That the Lord Treasurer received the Papers of them, but made no other Answer than thus, "It is well;" and so departed.

The House being moved to consider, whether the Lord Treasurer, in this Case, may answer by his Counsel or no.

Committee to search for Precedents concerning Trials.

It is Ordered, That the Lords Sub-committees for Privileges, &c. shall search for the Precedents, in what Manner the Parties complained of have answered here; and to report the same to the House.

Restitution of Possession.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, An Act to enable Justices of the Peace to give Restitution of Possession in certain Cases (with the Amendments); and, being put to the Question, was generally Assented unto; and returned to the Commons, by Mr. Serjeant Davis and Mr. Serjeant Finch.

Making Arms serviceable.

The Lords Committees on the Bill of Arms are to meet on Friday next, at Eight in the Morning.

The Lords Committees on the Bill for Ralphe Starkey are to meet To-morrow Morning, at Eight.
