King's Answer to the Remonstrance touching the E. of Arundell's Commitment.

The Lord Keeper thus reported the King's Answer unto the Remonstrance and Petition of the Peers, delivered unto His Majesty Yesterday by the whole House: videlicet,

"My Lords, ye have spent some Time in this Business; and, it being of some Consequence, I should be thought rash if I should give a sudden Answer; and therefore I will advise of it, and give you a full Answer in convenient Time."

Benefit of Clergy.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act to take away the Benefit of Clergy in some Cases, and to prevent the having of Clergy another Time.

Exportation of Wools, &c. and Fullers-earth.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, An Act against the Exportation of Wool, Woolfells, Mortlings, Shorlings, Yarn made of Wool, Woolslocks, Fullers-earth, and Fullingclay.

Put to the Question, and Expedited.

And Memorandum, That this Bill was first reported by the Earl of Devon, as fit to pass, without any Amendment. His Lordship reported, That a Proviso for the Town of Barwicke was offered to the Committee, but not thought fit (by the Major Part of the Committee) to be added to the said Bill.
