Footnotes

1 Gilbert de Mossylwicke is said to have been archdcn. 1300, 1313 (Menevia Sacra p. 207- authority of Browne Willis MS. collections).
2 Caunton possibly res. the archdcnry of Carmarthen 1355 since he occ. as archdcn. of Cardigan in that year. His res. is only mentioned 22 Nov. 1356 when his successor was collated.
3 Newport is said to have been cited to convocation as archdcn. 1421, 1424, 1426 (Menevia Sacra p. 208-no reference given).
1 Geoffrey Caunton is said to have been archdcn. 1470 (Menevia Sacra p. 28-authority Browne Willis MS. collections).
2 The d. of one Robert Keir, arcdcn. of Carmarthen, is recorded on 27 June 1488 in a series of Welsh obits (Cambridge, Trinity College MS. 224 f. 1). This is presumably the same man.
