The Order for Payment of Two Hundred Pounds,
out of the Composition of Sir Charles Chemish, to Colonel
Eyres, Governor of Hurst Castle, was read, and Agreed

E. of Cleveland, to have his Liberty to go into the Country.
Upon reading the Certificates of Dr. Wedderburne
and Dr. Grant; shewing, "The ill Disposition of Health
of the Earl of Cleveland, Prisoner in The Tower; and
that he is in Danger to lose his Life, if some speedy
Course be not taken, for affording him Air and other
Accommodations (fn. *) inducing to his Recovery:"
It is Ordered, That the said Earl of Cleveland
shall forthwith have Liberty to go into the Country,
for Recovery of his Health, for Three Months, upon
Security, to be taken by the Lieutenant of The Tower
of London, to return a true Prisoner at the End of the
said Three Months; and the Concurrence of the House
of Commons to be desired herein.
Perchard and Rowland.
Upon hearing the Counsel of Perchard Plaintiff,
upon an Appeal of a Judgement given in the Isle of
Guernsey, which is alledged to be contrary to the Customs of that Isle; and also upon hearing of the Counsel
of Roulland, the Defendant:
It is Ordered, That it is referred to the Judges, or
any Three, to call Counsel on both Sides before them,
on the 17th of October next; and such Civilians to their
Assistance as they think fit to call; and to peruse the
Books now produced as Evidence, and the Precedents;
and then to report the Business to this House, with what
convenient Speed afterward they can.
Eltonhead freed from Imposition of Horse.
Ordered, That Mr. Eltonheade, One of the Attendants upon this House, shall have an Order to exempt
him from finding of a Horse and Arms.
Message to the H. C. about the E. of Cleveland's Liberty; and with Dr. Burges's Ordinance.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by
Dr. Aylett and Mr. Page:
To desire their Concurrence for the Earl of Cleaveland to have Liberty for Three Months, upon Security
to be given to the Lieutenant of The Tower to return
after the Expiration of the said Three Months.
2. To desire Concurrence in the Ordinance concerning Dr. Burges.
Order for 100 l. for Evans.
Ordered, by the Lords and Commons assembled
in Parliament, That the Sum of One Hundred Pounds
be bestowed upon Mr. Edward Evans, Secretary to
the Lord Grey, and paid, unto him or his Assignee,
out of the Sequestrations of the County of Leicester;
and the Committee for Sequestrations of that County
are required forthwith to pay unto the said Mr. Edward Evans the said Sum of One Hundred Pounds;
and that the Acquittance of the said Mr. Evans, or
his Assignee, shall be a sufficient Warrant and Discharge to the said Committee, and their Treasurers,
for the Payment of the said Sum of One Hundred
Pounds accordingly."
Order for 200 l. for Col. Eyres.
Ordered, by the Lords and Commons in Parliament assembled, That the Sum of Two Hundred
Pounds be forthwith paid, out of Sir Charles Chemish's
Composition, to Colonel Eyres, Governor of Hurst
Castle, in the County of South'ton, or his Assigns, by
the Treasurers at Gouldsmiths Hall, for the Service of
Hursts Castle; and the Acquittance or Acquittances of
the said Colonel Eyres, or his Assigns, testifying the
Receipt thereof, shall be a sufficient Warrant and
Discharge to the said Treasurers at Gouldsmiths Hall,
for Payment thereof, accordingly."
Herbert to have the sole Printing of his Father's Works.
Upon reading the Petition of Edw. Herbert Esquire,
Son of the Lord Herbert of Cherbury deceased:
It is Ordered, That the said Edward Herbert shall
have the sole Privilege of printing and publishing the
History of H. VIII. certain (fn. *) Poems, and a Tract De Veritate, all written by the said Lord his Father in his
Life-time, the Manuscripts whereof are remaining with
the Petitioner; and that no Person whatsoever shall
presume to print and publish the said Books, or any of
them, within Fourteen Years next after the Date of this
Order, but by Authority under the Hand of the said
Mr. Herbert, as they will answer the contrary at their
Perils.
