Vernon, Liberty to follow his Cause.
Ordered, That Mr. Vernon, a Prisoner in The Fleete,
shall have Liberty for a Fortnight, to follow his Cause
depending in this House; giving Security then to render himself again.
Capt. Mason, a Hab. Corpus.
Ordered, That a Habeas Corpus be issued forth, returnable immediatè, to bring Capt. Bestmey Mason before
the Lords in Parliament; he being imprisoned for Fifty
Pounds, whereas there is much Money due to him from
the State.
Smith and Crockey.
Ordered, That Mr. Smyth shall (fn. *) have further Time
until the 12th of February next, to put in his Answer to
Crokey's Petition.
Mrs. Godfrey's Petition, for her Husband's Arrears.
Upon reading the Petition of Winifrid Godfrey, Widow; desiring, "some Portion of her Husband's Arrears, who is (fn. †) lately dead, that so he may be buried:"
It is Ordered, To be specially recommended to the
House of Commons, that she may have paid unto her
some Part of her late Husband's Arrears.
Ordinance to bring in Accompts of Sequestrations.
The Ordinance for the speedy bringing in of all Accompts for sequestered Lands and Estates, &c. was read
the Second Time; and there being no Exceptions made
against it, it was read the Third Time, and agreed unto;
and ordered to be sent to the House of Commons for
their Concurrence.
Additional Ordinance for employing the Poor.
The additional Ordinance for setting the Poor on
Work in the City of London, was read the Second
Time.
