Gregory and Symes.
Ordered, That the Cause of Gregory and Symes
shall be heard, before the Judges, the 10th of January
next, by Counsel on both Sides.
Money due from L. Willoughby to Godfrey.
Ordered, That this House gives Time till Thursday next, for to have it made appear that Mr. Godfrey hath the Three Thousand Pounds made over to
him by the Lord Willoughby; and the Gentleman Usher
is to give Notice to such as it concerns, and give this
House an Account thereof.
Message from the H. C. with Ordinances.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Purefoy, &c.; who brought up Two Ordinances, wherein they desire their Lordships Concurrence:
1. An Ordinance for revoking the Ordinance of the
2d of December, 1648, for settling the Militia of the
Kingdom.
Read Thrice; and, upon the Question, it was
Agreed to, and ordered to be printed and published. (Here enter it.)
2. An Ordinance for repealing of the Ordinance for
settling the Militia of the County of Lancashire.

printed and published.
The Answer returned was:
Answer.
That this House agrees to the Two Ordinances now
brought up.
Order for repealing the former Ordinance for settling the Militia of the Kingdom.
"Whereas an Ordinance of both Houses of Parliament, (fn. *) was made the 2d Day of this Instant Month of
December, intituled, "An Ordinance for settling the
Militia, in the several Counties, Cities, and Places,
within the Kingdom of England and Dominion of
Wales, and Town of Berwick upon Tweed:" The
said Lords and Commons now in Parliament assembled,
taking the said Ordinance into their Consideration, do
order and ordain, and be it hereby Ordered and
Ordained, That the said Ordinance, and every Matter, Clause, and Thing therein contained, be from
henceforth utterly repealed, annulled, and made
void; and the same is hereby repealed, annulled, and
made void, and of no Effect."
Order for repealing the former Ordinance for settling the Militia of Lancashire.
"The Lords and Commons assembled in Parliament,
taking into Consideration the late Ordinance of both
Houses, made and passed the 29th Day of August, in
the Year 1645, intituled, "An Ordinance of the
Lords and Commons assembled in Parliament, for the
County of Lancaster, and for ordaining a Committee
for transacting the Affairs of the said County," do
order and ordain, and be it Ordered and Ordained
by the said Lords and Commons, That the said Ordinance, and every Matter, Clause, and Sentence,
therein contained, be from henceforth repealed, and
made utterly void, and of no Effect; and the same
is hereby repealed and made void."
