Ordered, That Mr. Valentine and Mr. Ward are appointed to preach at the next Fast before the Lords in Parliament, at the Abbey Church in Westm. the next Fast Day.

Answer from the H. C.

Sir Edw. Leech and Mr. Page return with this Answer from the House of Commons:

That they will take into Consideration the several Particulars of the Message, [ (fn. *) and return] an Answer by Messengers of their own.

Captain Hobart's Arrest.

Ordered, That the Cause between Hobard, and Barrett Sheriff of Norwich shall be heard To-morrow Morning, at this Bar, at which Time Persons on all Sides (fn. †) are to be present.

Ordinance for Sir T. Fairfax to command the Army.

Next, the Ordinance for giving further Power to Sir Thomas Fairefaix was read the Second Time, and Ordered to be committed to a Committee of the whole House.

And the House was adjourned into a Committee during Pleasure, to take the same into Consideration.

And the House being resumed, these Lords following were appointed Committees, to consider of the Alterations and Additions as were offered in the Committee, and report the same to this House:

E. of Winchelsea, a Pass.

Ordered, That a Pass shall be granted to the Earl of Winchelsea, to transport himself into France, with Four Servants.

E. of Nott's Servant, a Pass to the King.

Ordered, That a Servant of the Earl of Nottingham shall have a Pass, to go into the King's Quarters, about placing of a new Governor, which is in his Lordship's Gift; the old Governor being lately dead.

Adjourn.
