Church of Ketton (Rutl., royal manor T.R.E. and 1086) conf. as preb. by pope 6 Feb. 1146 (R.A.L. I no. 252 p. 199) and 5 June 1163 (ibid. no. 255 p. 206).

Chapel of Tixover (part of Ketton in 1086): manor of Tixover given to bp. by queen Matilda 1103 × 06, ? 1106 (Regesta II nos. 743-4 = R.A.L. I nos. 16-17); chapel conf. as preb. by pope 5 June 1163 (R.A.L. I no. 255 p. 206).

Vicarage of preb. ordained 8 Dec. 1283, when income from Ketton said to be £72 16s. 4d. and from Tixover £5, of which vicar to have 20 marks p.a. (Reg. Sutton II 31-3).

Valuations

1254 £35; 1291 £66 13s. 4d., vicar £6 13s. 4d.

(fn. 1) Occ. as unnamed Roman holding this preb. in years Sept. 1304 - Sept. 1305 and Sept. 1305 - Sept. 1306 (Edwards, Sec. Caths. pp. 327, 329), (fn. 1) and by name in year Sept. 1307 - Sept. 1308 (Bj/2/4 fo. 39r, 'Albertus de Lavann'', with note 'mor[tuus]'). D. 11 May 1308 (A/2/22 fo. 11r). Presum. a member of the family of Fieschi, and therefore related to M. Percival (Fieschi) de Lavania, archdcn. of Buckingham (1269-90) (list 12).
