Manor of Milton in Great and Little Milton (Oxon.) belonged to bp. T.R.E. and 1086 (D.B. I 155b); preb. said in 1279 to have been created by bp. Alexander (1123- 48) (Rot. Hund. II 821a); 'half Milton' conf. as preb. by pope 6 Feb. 1146 (R.A.L. I no. 252 p. 199) and 5 June 1163 (ibid. no. 255 p. 207).
Binbrook (Lincs.): 11 bovates given by Osbert the sheriff, conf. by king William II prob. 1098 (ibid. no. 7); conf. as preb. by pope 6 Feb. 1146 (ibid. no. 252 p. 199) and 5 June 1163 (ibid. no. 255 p. 205). Church of St. Gabriel, Binbrook, in patronage of this preb. from before Dec. 1226, called preb. of Binbrook (Rot. Welles III 147); vicarage ordained Oct. 1278 (Rot. Gravesend pp. 82-3, 287).
