Portion of church of Kirton in Lindsey (Lines.) first mentioned 1254 (Val. Norwich p. 254); vicarage ordained 13 Nov. 1264 (Rot. Gravesend p. 91); holder of preb. called can. of Lincoln in Welton and Kirton 13 Aug. 1277 (ibid. p. 96), and 1291 (Reg. I fo. 247r); see also Welton Westhall, below.

Portion of church of Hibaldstow (Lincs.), first mentioned 1254 (Val. Norwich p. 254); vicarage ordained 12 Nov. 1264 (Rot. Gravesend pp. 90-1); see also Welton Westhall below, and R.A.L. II nos. 438-40, 481-2, Rot. Gravesend p. 96, and Valor IV 18.

Fresh gr. of next vacancy to Rivaux 2 July 1208 (Rot. Litt. Pat. p. 84b). Occ. as this preb. 1254 (Val. Norwich p. 279). Evidently gave his name to preb. Also preb. of London (Fasti 1066-1300 I 59). Still alive 20 July 1261 (C.P.R. 1258-66 p. 170). D. before 2 Nov. 1262 (C.P.R. 1266-72 p. 739).

M. Stephen de Sandwic (fn. 2)

First occ. as can. and this preb. 12 Nov. 1264 (Rot. Gravesend pp. 90-1). Also preb. of London; archdcn. of Essex, in which office he had been succeeded by Jan. 1272. Last occ. 24 Aug. 1265 (ibid. p. 90). D. by Apr. 1275 (London, St. Paul's D. & C. Libr., A/35/947; cf. Fasti 1066-1300 I 14).

Walter de Kersinton (fn. 3)

Occ. as can. and this preb. 13 Aug. 1277 (Rot. Gravesend p. 96). Also occ. as can. Apr. 1270 × Dec. 1279 (R.A.L. V no. 1742).

M. Solomon de Northburn (fn. 4)

First occ. as can. in week 16 -22 Oct. 1278 (R.L. I). Presum. to be identified with M. Solomon who occ. as this preb. 1291 (Taxatio p. 56b), and certainly occ. as this preb. 1 Oct. 1291 (Reg. I fo. 247r). D. before 22 Apr. 1292 (ibid. fo. 355r).

Transf. from preb. Crackpole to this preb., coll. by bp. 22 Apr. 1292 (Reg. I fo. 355r; cf. list 31). Archdcn. of Huntingdon, from 30 June 1295 (list 8). Transf. from this preb. to preb. Buckden, coll. 6 Feb. 1297 (Reg. I fo. 360v; cf. list 24).

M. Nicholas de Wytechirch

Transf. from preb. Welton Brinkhall to this preb., coll. by bp. 9 March 1297 (Reg. I fo. 360v; cf. list 67). Last certain occ. 7 Jan. 1312 (A/1/8 no. 73). Perhaps still alive at beginning of year 14 Sept. 1312 - 13 Sept. 1313 (Bj/2/4 fo. 90r, with note 'mor[tuus]'). D. as this preb. by 19 Sept. 1312 (Reg. II fo. 289r).
