Durand the can., holding land in Twyford, of cans.' demesne, prob. not yet a prebend,
1086 (Domesday Book 1 fo. 127b; cf. Gibbs pp. xxiii-iv). Perhaps preb. by 1102 (Gibbs
p. xxiii, and no. 178). Occ. as can. 1103/4 (WD 4 fo. 40/44r-v, pd. in Rep. p. 65a).
Last occ. 1111/12 (A/24/521, pd. in Rep. p. 26a). Prob. mag. schol., first occ. c. 1102,
d. some time before Jan. 1127 (above p. 25).
