Geffery's Cause.
Upon reading the Petition of Grace Gefferye, the
Wife of George Gefferye Esquire: It is Ordered,
That all the rest of the Judges shall be added to Mr.
Justice Reeve and Mr. Justice Bacon, to whom her Business was formerly referred; and they, or any Three
of them, to meet with all convenient Speed, and make
their Report to this House.
L. Lovelace, Leave to see the E. of Cleveland.
Ordered, That the Lord Lovelace hath Leave to
go to The Tower, to see the Earl of Cleveland his Father in Law.
Captain Bell's Petition.
Upon reading the Petition of Captain Bell: It is
Ordered, To be recommended to the House of Commons.
Declaration of the H. C. concerning Church Government.
The House was informed of a Declaration that was
lately put forth by the House of Commons, concerning
Church Government and other Particulars.
It was Ordered, To be taken into Consideration by
this House on Thursday Morning next; and all the Lords
to have Notice to attend the House.
Message to the H. C. to remind them of Steward's and Serle's Businesses, and Cannon's Ordinance.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by
Dr. Aylett and Dr. Heath:
1. To put them in Mind of Mr. Steward's Business.
2. To put them in Mind of Captain Cannon's Ordinance.
3. To put them in Mind of Captain Serle's Petition.
Ordinance concerning the Excise.
The House was adjourned into a Committee during
Pleasure, to take into Consideration the Ordinance concerning the Continuance of the Excise.

The said Ordinance was by Order to be taken into
further Consideration on Wednesday Morning next.
