Manchester Petition.
The Petition of the Town of Manchester, directed to
both Houses, was read, touching the Free-school and
the Poor there.
Rednes & al. and Petit & al.
Ordered, That the Cause of Rednes, Gardner,
Peteete, Deliques, and others, be heard, at the Bar, on
Tuesday next; and that both Parties have Notice, and
then attend by Counsel.
Message to the H. C. with the Manchester Petition;
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by
Doctor Aylett and Doctor Heath:
To communicate to them the Petition of the Inhabitants of Manchester; and to desire their Concurrence,
that some Course be taken for the Maintenance of the
Ministers and the School there.
and about L. Buckhurst.
2. To put them in Mind of the Lord Buckhurst' Business, formerly sent down to them.
Order concerning Capt. Turpin's Daughters.
"Whereas an Order formerly was passed both
Houses, dated 10 Nov. 1645, That Thomazin, Tabitha, and Hannah, the Daughters of Captain Robert Turpin, who was executed in the County of
Devon for his good Service done to the Parliament,
should have Five Hundred Pounds apiece, out of the
Estates of Sir John Banckes, Justice Heath, and Justice Foster: Now, in regard the said Sir John Bancks
is dead, and his Lady is compounding for her Husband's Estate, whereby the Daughters of Turpin
will be defeated of their Relief by the aforesaid
Ordinance, unless some Words be added to the same;
It is Ordered, That these Words shall be added;
(videlicet,) ["Upon the Sale of the respective Estates
of the said Sir John Bancks, Justice, and
Justice Foster, or their respective Composition"]."
