A Message was brought from the House of Commons,

To desire a Free Conference with their Lordships, if
it may stand with their Conveniency, concerning the
Matter of the Propositions delivered at the last Conference.

"2. To desire Concurrence in an Order concerning Mr.
Batten to be Captain of The Holy Island.

3. To desire Concurrence in an Order for Mr. Elton
to be High Sheriff of Hereford. (Here enter it.)
The Answer returned was:
That their Lordships do appoint a Free Conference
presently, in the Painted Chamber, as is desired: That
this House agrees to the Order for Mr. Elton to be
High Sheriff for the County of Hereford: To that concerning Mr. Batten, their Lordships will send an Answer by Messengers of their own.
Esthorp's Arrears of Taxes to be remitted.
Upon reading the Petition of Mr. Esthorp Clerk;
setting forth "his great Losses, and desiring that the
Arrears of Taxes set upon his Estates by the Committee of the Parliament may be remitted:"
It is Ordered, That it be recommended to the House
of Commons, with a Desire of Concurrence, that his Petition may be granted according to the Prayer.
Colonel Glynn's Order.
The Order for making Colonel Glyn Governor of
Carnarvan Castle, was read, and Agreed to.

Lords went to the Conference; which being ended, the

Conference on the Propositions.
And it was Ordered, That the Report of this Conference shall be made some other Time; and the House
was again resumed.
And the Speaker, with the Lords, went into the
Painted Chamber, to let the House of Commons know,
that this House will take the Matter of this Conference

do nominate and approve of Ambrose Elton Junior Esquire, to be High Sheriff of the County of Hereford;

England do issue a Commission to him to be High
Sheriff of the said County accordingly."
Colonel Glyn to be Governor of Carnarvon, &c.
"The Lords and Commons assembled in Parliament,
do nominate and approve of Colonel Thomas Glynn,
to be Governor of the Town and Castle of Carnarvon,
and of the Garrison there; and that the Members of
both Houses that are of the Committee of both Kingdoms do grant him a Commission to be Governor of the
said Town and Castle accordingly."
