Treasurers at Goldsmiths Hall not to dispose of Monies but by Order of both Houses.
This Day this House perused the Ordinances passed
both Houses, which give Power to the Committee at
Gouldsmithes Hall to raise and dispose of Monies.
And finding that the said Committee do dispose of
Monies by the Order of the House of Commons only:
It is Ordered, by the Lords in Parliament assembled,
That Micbaell Hering and Ric'd Waringe, Treasurers
at Gouldsmitbes Hall, London, nor either of them, shall
issue out any Money, but such as they shall be authorized
by Order or Ordinance of both Houses of Parliament.
Message from the H. C. with Ordinances.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons,
by Mr. Gyles Greene, &c.
To desire Concurrence in several Ordinances:
1. That Captain Beddell be Captain of The Adventure
Frigatt; and that Abrabam Wheeler be [ (fn. *) Captain of
The] Cignett Frigatt, for this latter End of this Summer's
Guard, and the Winter Guard. (Here enter it.)
Agreed to.
2. An Order for Seven Ministers to be sent to Oxford,
to preach.
Agreed to, with the adding of these Words [" if
they be willing"].
3. An Ordinance for Mr. Durbam to be Minister of
Burfield, in Com. Berks.
4. An Ordinance for a Pardon of Sir Wm. Walter's
Delinquency.
5. An Ordinance for Pardon of John Harris' Delinquency.
6. An Ordinance for Pardon of Mr. James Cole's Delinquency.
The Answer returned was:

That this House agrees, that Captain Beddell be Captain of The Adventure Frigatt, and Captain Wheeler to
be Captain of The Cignett Frigatt: To all the rest, this
House will send an Answer by Messengers of their
own.
Answer from the H. C.
Doctor Aylett and Doctor Heath return with this Answer to the Message sent last to the House of Commons:
That they agree to the Winter Guard by Sea; and
to all the rest of the Particulars, they will send an Answer by Messengers of their own.
L. Stanhope to have no Soldiers quartered in his Houses.
Complaint being made to this House, "That the
Lord Stanhope hath Soldiers billeted in his House, at
Harington, in the County of North'ton."
Hereupon it is Ordered, That no Soldiers shall be
billeted or quartered in any of his Lordship's Houses, he
being a Peer of this Realm.
Bovle. a Pass to Holland.
Ordered, That Mr. Boyle and his Wife shall have a
Pass, to go into Holland; carrying with them
Servants, and such Necessaries as are fit for his Journey.
Adams's Petition, to be indemnisied for for his Losses.
Upon reading the Petition of Wm. Adams, of Paterchurch, in the County of Pembrooke, Gentleman; setting
forth "his great Losses; therefore desires something to
be given him, for Repair of his Losses."
It is Ordered, To be recommended to the House of
Commons.
Ordinance for repairing Churches.
Ordered, That these Lords following do prepare an
Ordinance, and bring the same into this House, for some
Course to be taken for repairing of Churches and
Chapels:

E. of Berks' Goods at New Elme not to be stirred.
Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of
Lords and Commons for Sequestrations, that they would
send Order, that the Goods of the Earl of Berks, at New
Elme, in the County of Oxon, may not be stirred from
thence until the further Directions of the Parliament;
the Earl of Manchester and the Lord Howard offering
to give their Words that the Goods shall not be stirred.
Chamberlain and Nicholls.
Upon reading the Certificate of the Judges, concerning the Cause between Chamberlaine and Nicolls: It is
Ordered, That Chamberlaine shall have a Copy of this
Certificate, and shew Cause by this Day Month why
the said Cause should not be dismissed this House.
Harford and Haswell.
Ordered, That the Cause between Mr. Harford and
Haswell shall be heard, in this House, this Day Fortnight,
being the Second of September.

Upon reading the Petition of John Baker, concerning Petit's Business: It is Ordered, To be referred to
take his Remedy in the Court of Admiralty.

Ordered, That Doctor Temple is appointed to preach
