Footnotes

  • 1. Le Neve-Hardy cites Reg. Dec. et Capit. f. 218. This volume is not one of the series of registers of the dean and chapter, and is now missing from the Cathedral Library. It was a volume of at least 235 folios, covering the years c. 1678-97, and included installations to prebends. It was also used by G. Hennessy in the preparation of his Novum repertorium, published in 1898, and he generally refers to it as 'D. & C. of St. Paul's Reg.'
