1. Bedell was chancellor of Lichfield diocese in 1565 and M.R for Lichfield in 1572 (House of Commons 1558-1603, ed. P.W. Hasler (Cambridge, 1981) I 417). Survey of Cath. says that Arthur 'Beele' was adm, 4 June 1564. Le Neve-Hardy follows him, and then gives Gilbert Magnolls, said to have been adm. 6 Aug. 1565, and Raphael Potter, 6 March 1573. No evidence has been found for either of them.
