Smith's Submission to the E. of Stanford.
It was moved, That Joseph Smith, Clerk, should, at
the Bar, make such Submission to the Earl of Stanford,
as is thought fit by the Lords Committees for Petitions;
which was, That he should, with humble Submission,
confess that he hath wronged the Earl of Stanford; and
to crave his Lordship's Pardon, and confess that he was
sorry for it.
The said Smith was called in, and made the aforesaid
Confession openly at the Bar; and further, the Lord
Keeper told him from the House, that he must not
hereafter hunt nor hawk, it being against the Law for his
Profession so to do.
Woolsley's &c. Submission, and are discharged.
It was Ordered, That Captain Devereux Woolsley,
and James Duport, Gentleman, and Richard Dudley,
Gentleman, having made their Submission to the Earl
of Stanford, before the Lords Committees, shall be discharged from any further Trouble or Attendance in this

Lord Herbert asked Leave of the House to go speak
with the Earl of Strafford at The Tower, about some
Business of his own in Ireland (fn. †) .

Earl of Cambridge signified to the House, That, upon
Saturday last, by Command from His Majesty, he went
to The Tower, to speak with the Earl of Strafford about
Business; which he thought fit now to acquaint the
Dominus Custos Magni Sigilli declaravit præsens Parliamentum continuandum esse usque in diem Jovis, videlicet, 10m diem instantis Decembris, hora nona Aurora,
Dominis sic decernentibus.
