The King's Gracious Message about the Forest Laws.
The Earl of Holland signified to the House, That His
Majesty had commanded him to let them know, "That
He, having understood how that the Forest Laws are
grievous to the Subjects of this Kingdom, His Majesty
is, out of his Grace and Goodness to His People,
willing to lay down the new Bounds of His Forests in
this Kingdom; and that they shall be reduced to the
same Condition as they were before the late (fn. *) Justice
Seats were held; only His Majesty's Desire is, that the
Woods might be preserved for Timber."
Sutton Marsh.
Ordered, That, upon Monday Morning next, Counsel on both Sides shall be heard at Bar, concerning the
Examinations of Witnesses on both Sides, and the bringing in of Articles, which concern Sutton Marsh.
Committee for Religion.
Ordered, That the Committee for Innovations in
Religion do meet on Wednesday next; and the Committee
to have Power to send for such Learned Men as their
Lordships shall please, to assist them.
Report of Money to be sent to the Scotch Army.
The Earl of Warwick reported to this House, That
the House of Commons have taken Order for the Payment of Twenty-five Thousand Pounds this Afternoon
to his Lordship; and he will dispose of it according to
the Directions of the House of Commons.

Message from the H. C. concerning the E. Strafford.
That the House of Commons have considered of the
Answer of the Earl of Strafford; and do aver their
Charge of High Treason against him; and that he is
guilty, in such Manner and Form as he stands accused and
impeached; and that House will be ready to prove their
Charge against him at such convenient Times as your
Lordships shall prefix, and do intend to manage the Evidence by Members of their own, and desire a Free Conference with your Lordships, by select Committees of
both Houses, to consider of some Propositions and Circumstances concerning the Trial.

Merchant Adventurers.
Ordered, That the Committee for Trade do meet
upon Monday next, in the Afternoon, to consider of
the Petition of the Merchants Adventurers, whereby to
prepare the Business for the Committee concerning the
Treaty of Confederation with The States; and that the
Master and Governors of the Merchants Adventurers
have Notice to attend the Lords Committees on Monday.

Ordered, That John Quarles, Merchant, hath Leave,
for One Time, to speak with the Earl of Strafford in
The Tower, about his own urgent Occasions; the Lieutenant of The Tower to be then present, and hear what

Ordered, That such Witnesses that the Lord Roche
produceth in his Cause, be sworn by the Clerk of the
Parliaments.
Account to be given of the Lottery Money, for bringing Water to London.
Ordered, That they Lady Hamersley, Sir Jo. Hales,
Knight, Carew Rawley, Esquire, and Sir Walter Roberts,
and all others whom it concerns, shall attend this House
on Monday Morning next, at Nine of the Clock, to give
an Account of such Monies as are come to their Hands
out of the late Lottery; and then this House to give Directions to whom they shall pay the said Monies.
