Ordered, That Sir Robert Mannsell, Knight, have
Notice to attend this House To-morrow Morning, concerning the Men that are in the Custody of the Gentleman Usher, upon his Petition to this House.
Rookwood to acknowledge his Fault against the Dutch Ambassador.
Ordered, That the Earl of Warwicke do go from
this House to The States Ambassador, to know whether
he hath any Thing further to object against Rookewood,
why he should not be discharged out of Prison; if no
new Matter be charged against the said Rookewod, then
he is to make his Acknowledgement of his Fault and
the Justice of this House upon him, at this Bar, and
afterwards be released of his present Imprisonment.
Forsey's Cause dismissed.
Upon Report made this Day by the Lords Committees for Petitions, "That a Petition of John Forsey, concerning Sir John Hobbard, Knight and Baronet, Ant.
Hobard, Gentleman, Henry Yaxley, and Francis Yaxley, had been considered of by their Lordships, and
was thought fit to be dismissed;" it is Ordered,
That the said Petition and Cause of the said Forsies shall
be hereby dismissed this House accordingly.
Sir Geo. Radcliff, concerning Sir Richard Osbalston's Estate.
Upon Signification this Day unto the House, "That
Sir George Radcliffe having been enjoined to assign
over the Estate of Sir Richard Osbalston, Knight, by
an Order of this House, did now humbly desire to
be heard in Person before the Lords Committees for
Petitions, touching the said Business, before he assign
over the said Trust;" it is Ordered, That the said
Lords Committees shall hereby have Power to send for
him the said Sir George Radcliffe, to come before their
Lordships, with his Keeper, when they shall appoint to
hear the Business; at which Time the King's Counsel
are to be present, and to make Answer to such Matters
as shall concern His Majesty in that Cause.

For the debating of this Bill, the House was adjourned into a Committee during Pleasure; and, after
a long Debate, the House was resumed; and it was
Resolved, by the major Part, That this Bill be rejected.
Message from the H. C. for a Conference, about disbanding the Armies.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons,
by the Lord Phillip Herbert:
To desire a Conference, by a Committee of both
Houses, touching the disbanding of both Armies.

That this House will give the House of Commons a
Conference, at Four of the Clock this Afternoon, in
the Painted Chamber.
Answer from the City of London, touching the Loan of 40,000 l.
After this, the Lord Mayor of London and the Aldermen, &c. were called in, to give an Answer to the
Proposition for lending Forty Thousand Pounds; and
(fn. *) the Lord Mayor signified, "That he hath already prepared ready Thirty-four Thousand Five Hundred
Pounds, Part of the Forty Thousand Pounds, and
the full Sum will be made up this Night;" and fur
ther he acquainted this House, "That he hath received
Eighteen Thousand Pounds of the Poll-money;"
for which Service, and Readiness in this Business, the
Speaker gave the Lord Mayor and Aldermen and the
rest Thanks from this House, and desired some of the
Aldermen and Commons to be here this Afternoon.
Bishop of Ely to attend the Committee, concerning the Archbishop of Canterbury's Cause.
Ordered, That the Lord Bishop of Ely have Notice
to attend the deputed Lords this Afternoon, at Three

Ordered, That Mr. Auditor Worfeild shall give
Liberty unto the Earl of Dover, and Mr. Chute, to have
free Access unto Mrs. Jane Worfeild (his Wife); and
that she may prosecute her Cause in this House, by Petition or otherwise, or in any other His Majesty's Courts
of Justice, touching and concerning the Inheritance of
her Land, in such Form, and in the Names of such Persons, as by her Counsel she shall be advised, and at the
Charges of the said Mr. Worfeild; and the said Mr.
Worfeild, performing this Order, and giving Security to
appear in this House, at such Time as he shall be
warned thereunto, shall be freed of this present Restraint.

Sir Thomas Lake's Cause.
Ordered, That Sir Thomas Lake's Cause shall be
heard on Tuesday next, in the Afternoon, before the
Committee for Petitions.
Commonalty of London against the Ld. Mayor, &c. concerning the Election of Officers.
Upon reading the Petition of the Six Persons chosen
by the Commonalty of London; it is Ordered by the
Lords in Parliament, That the Lord Mayor of London
shall have a Copy of their Petition; and that the said
Six Persons shall have such Books, Records, and Accounts, brought into this House, as they shall have Use
of; and in particular the Book of Reversions is to be
produced with the rest, at the Hearing concerning the
Officers of the City, and that so often as they shall
have any Occasion of them; and, in the mean Time, to
peruse and transcribe what they think fit out of the said
Reversion Book, remaining in the Hands of their Lord
Mayor or others.
The Earls of Bath and Bristoll were appointed to report the Conference.
Conference about disbanding the Armies, &c. reported.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the
Lords went to the Conference; which being ended, the
House was resumed; and the Earl of Bathon reported,
That the House of Commons, at this Conference, delivered to their Lordships Four Resolutions, which
had passed their House.
"1. That the Ninth Day of August next shall be the
Day appointed for the marching away of the Scotts
Army.
"2. That the Money due for Relief of the Northern
Counties is ready; and that, if they shall desire any
reasonable Assistance for the conveying of it, they
will be ready to assist them in the best Manner they
can.
"3. The House of Commons desires that the English Lords Commissioners may move the Scotts Commissioners, to put off the Time for the Payment of the
Eighty Thousand Pounds, Part of the Brotherly Assistance, till the First Day of September next; and
that, notwithstanding, they will pay it sooner if they
can.
"4. That, after that the Scotts have declared their
Assents of disbanding, that then our Army shall be
disbanded with all possible Speed; and the Horse to
be first disbanded."
Treaty with the Scots to be prepared for a Conclusion.
Ordered, That this House doth agree with the
House of Commons in all the aforesaid Resolutions; and
do further Order, That the Lords Commissioners do resume the Treaty with the Scotts Commissioners, and prepare it for a Conclusion.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by
Baron Henden and Dr. Bennett:
Message to the H. C. for a Conference, concerning the Loan from the City, and disbanding the Armies.
To desire a Conference, by a Committee of both
Houses, touching the Loan of Forty Thousand Pounds
from the City of London, and the late Conference touching the disbanding of both Armies.

The Lord Chamberlain and the Earl of Bristoll were
appointed to speak at the Conference, and to let them
know, "1. That this (fn. *) House doth agree with them,
in their Four Resolutions concerning the disbanding
of both Armies.
"2. To desire that the select Committees of both
Houses for the Ten Heads may meet, to finish and
close up the Treaty with the Scotts.
"3. To let them know, that the City hath provided
the Forty Thousand Pounds; for the Re-payment
whereof they desire an Order of both Houses."

Meeting, as is desired, in the Painted Chamber.
Conference reported.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the
Lords went to the Conference; which being ended, the

Burrell versus Burrell.
Ordered, That the Cause between Burrell and
Burrell, depending now before the Lords Committees
for Petitions, shall be heard in the open House at the
Bar, as soon after Michaelmas as the Occasions of this
House will permit; and hereof the Parties interested,
and Witnesses, and others formerly appointed to appear
in this Cause, are to have Notice given them by the
Plaintiff; and then all Parties are to attend the said
Hearing accordingly.
Andrews's Cause.
Ordered, That the Cause of Edward Andrewes,
Esquire, shall be heard at the Bar, the next Day after
the Day which shall be appointed for the Hearing of
Burrell's Cause.
