Ordered, That the Petition of Jo. Cooper and Daniell Wilgrave, of Great Yarmouth, shall be heard and
considered of, by the Lords Committees for Petitions,
some Time next Meeting of Parliament.
Havercampe, &c. Petition.
Ordered, That the Petition of Godfrey Havercampe,
and John Mold, Gentlemen, shall be referred to the
Consideration of the Master of the Court of Wards and
Liveries, and Report thereof to be made to this House.
E. of Cleveland's Privilege.
Boldsworth's Arrest.
Ordered, That Edmond Boldsworth, Servant to the
Earl of Cleveland, being arrested, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament, be released from his present Imprisonment concerning this Business; and that Jo. Guy,
Thomas Meason, and Salter, Serjeants that arrested him,
shall be likewise released of their Imprisonment because
they knew not that the said Boulsworth was in Protection.
Report about restoring the Arms taken at Newcastle.
The Earl of Warwicke reported, "That the Lords
Commissioners have moved the Scotts Commissioners,
That all the Arms, Ordnance, and Ammunition, belonging to the King or the Subject, taken at Newcastle, be restored at the Departure of the Scotts, and
delivered to the Mayor of Newcastle, and the Owners
of the Arms. And they return this Answer; That
they will advertise their General, that all the King's
Ordnance, Ammunition, and Arms, or the Arms of the
Subjects, that was taken at Newcastle, may be restored
and left there; but they know of no other Arms but
what was taken by the Soldier, which were but very
few, and not a valuable Consideration, nor can (fn. *) be
possibly restored, being dispersed amongst the Army."
Order for the Scots to transport Money.
Ordered, That the Scottish Commissioners shall have
Liberty, by virtue of this Order, to transport the Sum of
Thirty Thousand Pounds in Money, either by Sea or by
Land, as they shall think fit, unto Edenburgh in Scotland,
or to the Town of Newcastle; and that all Customers,
Comptrollers, Searchers, and others His Majesty's Officers and Ministers, shall take Notice of this Order, and
obey the same accordingly.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by
Sir Edward Leech and Serjeant Whitfeilde:
Message to the H. C. for a Conclusion with the Scots.
To desire a Conference, by a Committee of both
Houses, touching the final Conclusion with the Scotts.
Smart versus Dr. Cosens.
Ordered, That the Cause of Peter Smarte against
Doctor Cosens, &c. shall be further heard on Tuesday
Morning next.
E. Warwick versus Martyn.
Ordered, That the Cause between the Earl of
Warwicke, and Sir Henry Marten and Mr. Langhorne,
shall be peremptorily heard To-morrow in the Afternoon, in the Painted Chamber, before the Lords Committees for Petitions.
The Messengers return with this Answer from the
House of Commons:

That they will give a present Meeting, as is desired,
in the Painted Chamber.
The Earl of Bristoll was appointed to deliver these
Heads at this Conference: videlicet,
Articles about the Treaty and disbanding.
"1. To let the House of Commons know, that the
7th of September next is thought to be a fit Day for
public Thanksgiving for both Kingdoms, for the
Conclusion of the Pacification.
"2. To know from the House of Commons what
Days are to be allowed for the marching away of the
Scotts, that the Day of their passing over Tweede may
be certain, they being to be paid until the 25th of August.
"3. To let the House of Commons know, that the
Exemplifications of the Acts concerning the Treaty
and public Faith are both passed under the Great
Seal, and delivered.
"4. To desire them to join with this House, that the
Scotts may be moved, for the delivering of the Arms
and Cannons at Newcastle to His Majesty's Officers.
"5. To let them know, That the Scotts desire, that
there may be a Warrant granted for the transporting
of Thirty Thousand Pounds in Money by Sea.
"6. To know of them, what Course is to be taken
for the perfecting of the Treaty in Scotland.
"7. To let them know, that the Scotts desire to pass
with their Army by Barwicke-Bridge, and in such
Sort as shall be for the Safety of that Town, as shall
be agreed upon by the General and Governor of Barwicke.
"8. That the Scotts desire, that an Order of the
House of Commons may be made, for the re-paying
the Eight and Twenty Thousand Pounds to the Bishoprick of Durham and the Town of Newcastle, that
the Scotts may deliver the said Order for their Discharge."

Ordered, That the Committee for the Defence of
the Kingdom do sit this Afternoon, at Two a Clock.
Committee for Gunpowder.
Ordered, That the Committee for Gunpowder, &c.
do meet To-morrow in the Afternoon, at Two a Clock.
Conference about a Conclusion with the Scots reported.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the
Lords went to the Conference; which being ended, the
House was resumed; and the Earl of Bristoll reported,
"That he had delivered the Propositions at the Conference, as he was commanded by this House."
Two Judges Leave to be absent.
Ordered, That the Lord Chief Baron and Mr. Baron Weston have Leave to repair into the Country for
their Health's Sake, and to repair unto this House again
at the Beginning of Michaelmas-Term next.

Ordered, That the Earl of Bristoll hath Leave to
refresh himself in the Country until next Meeting of
Parliament.
French Ambassador's Desire about levying Troops for his Master.
After this, the House was adjourned into a Committee during Pleasure, to debate the Desire of the French
Ambassador, for to levy and transport Six Regiments of
Foot and Ten Companies of Horse, all English, for the
Service of the French King; and, after much Consideration hereof, the House was resumed; and it was
Resolved, That this House would have a Conference
with the House of Commons To-morrow Morning, and
communicate the Business to them.
Blanket makers of Witney's Petition.
Upon reading the Petition of the Blanket-makers of
the Town of Wittney, in the County of Oxon, "complaining of a Patent for the sealing of their Blankets,
which is a great Oppression upon them;" it is Ordered, That the Patent, by which the same are so
sealed, shall be forthwith brought into this House; and
that the Patentees shall appear before their Lordships on
Thursday the 26th of this Instant August, in the Morning;
and that the Patentees shall forbear to lay any Impositions
upon the said Blankets, made or to be made in that
Town, until the Pleasure of this House be further
known.
