It was moved, "That the Lord General being now
at his House in London, that this House may go with
their Speaker, to give his Lordship Thanks from this
House, for his great Service done to this Kingdom."
The House was adjourned during Pleasure; and the
Lords, with the Speaker, went to the Lord General.
Sequestering the Revenue of the King, &c.
Next, the Order for publishing the Ordinance for sequestering of the King's and Queen's and Prince's Revenue was read, and Agreed to. (Here enter it.)
Mrs. Hodges, a Pass.
Ordered, That Mrs. Hester Hodges shall have a Pass,
to go to Oxford, with a Coach and Four Horses, with divers particular Necessaries, as Holland and other Things,
which are to be searched in the Presence of him that
commands that Court of Guard through which she passes;
and then the Particulars are to be sealed up by the Clerk
of the Parliament.
Conference to be had with the H. C. about the Importation of Currants.
Ordered, To have a Conference on Thursday Morning, touching Currants, with the House of Commons, to
let them know, That, notwithstanding an Ordinance of
both Houses to inhibit the Importation of Currants, yet
the Committee for the Commission for the Navy have
granted several Warrants for bringing Currants from
Holland; which is contrary to the said Ordinance, and
will be a great Prejudice if the same be not speedily
Order for publishing the Ordinance for sequestering the King's, Queen's, and Prince's Revenue.
"Whereas the Lords and Commons assembled in Parliament, upon the One and Twentieth Day of this In
stant Month of September, passed an Ordinance for the
seizing and receiving of His Majesty's, the Queen's,
and Prince's Revenue, for the Service of the King and
Parliament, together with all Arrears thereof, and other
Debts any Way due to His Majesty, the Queen, or
Prince: It is therefore this Day Ordered, by the said
Lords and Commons, That the said Ordinance shall be
forthwith published, in the several Counties, and all the
Market Towns, within the Realm of England, Dominion of Wales, and Port and Town of Berwicke, to the
Intent that all Farmers, Fee-farmers, Tenants, Debtors,
Receivers, and all the Officers and Persons whom it shall
concern, may take Notice thereof, and conform themselves thereunto, and pay their Monies respectively
to such Persons and Receivers as are or shall be appointed by virtue and according to the Direction of
the said Ordinance, and not to any other Person
whatsoever, as they will answer the contrary at their
Peril: And it is further Ordered, That the Deputy
Lieutenants and Committees of Parliament, or any
One of the said Deputy Lieutenants or Committees,
in each several County, City, or Place, within the
Realm of England, Dominion of Wales, and Port or
Town of Berwicke, are hereby authorized and required to cause the same to be published accordingly."
