Land Tax Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for granting an Aid to His Majesty, to be raised by a Land Tax in Great Britain, for the Service of the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifteen."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, To-morrow.

Webb to enter into a Recognizance for Collier.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Webb, on Behalf of Captain William Collier Commander of His Majesty's Ship The Mermaid; praying, "That in regard the said William Collier (who hath an Appeal depending in this House) is on board the said Ship, the Petitioner's Recognizance may be taken instead of the said Appellant's:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner's Recognizance may be taken, according to the Prayer of the Petition.

L. Fitzwalter's Privilege.

Complaint being made to the House, and Oath made at the Bar, "That Elisha Scarning and Charles Harman, menial Servants to the Lord Fitzwalter, have had Declarations delivered against them, and Rules for pleading given thereon, by Robert Adams an Attorney, within the Time, and contrary to the Privilege, of Parliament:"

Adams to attend, for proceeding against Harman and Scarning his Servants.

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Robert Adams do attend this House, on Wednesday next, at Eleven a Clock, to shew Cause why he should not stand committed, for proceeding against his Lordship's said Servants during the Time of Privilege of Parliament.
