Minshull, for Time to make Defence against Lady Mohun's Appeal.
A Petition of Alice Minshull and Jane Minshull, Daughters and Administrators of Thomas Minshull Esquire
their late Father deceased, in Behalf of themselves and
of Peter Minshull their only Brother, now in Spain, was
presented to the House, and read; praying, "In regard the Lady Mohun is ordered to be put into the
Possession of the Estate in Question, upon the Appeal
of the late Lord Mohun, revived the Ninth of July
last, that a reasonable Time may be allowed the Petitioners, wherein they may hear from their Brother,
and may be provided to make their Defence."
Ordered, That the said Lady Mohun have Notice
of this Petition; and that the same do lie on the Table,
till Satisfaction be given to this House, that the Order
for delivering Possession of the said Estate in Question
Security of His Majesty's Person, & c. Bill.
The House (according to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, to consider further of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the further
Security of His Majesty's Person and Government;
and the Succession of the Crown in the Heirs of the
late Princess Sophia, being Protestants; and for extinguishing the Hopes of the pretended Prince of
Wales, and his open and secret Abettors."
And, after some Time spent therein, the House was
And the Lord Carleton reported from the Committee,
That they had made some further Progress in the
Bill; and had directed him to move, that they may
have Leave to sit again."
Ordered, That this House shall be put into a Committee, to consider further of the said Bill, To-morrow
Causes put off.
Ordered, That the Causes be removed One Day in
Dominus Cancellarius declaravit præsens Parliamentum continuandum esse usque ad et in diem Veneris,
quintum diem instantis Augusti, hora undecima Auroræ,
