PRAYERS.

Foot, a Door-keeper, arrested for another Person.

A Petition of John Foot, a Servant of this House under the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, was presented to the House, and read; complaining, "That, as he was coming to attend his Duty as One of the Door-keepers to this House, the Twenty-first of this Instant January, he was arrested, by one Cole an Officer, at the Suit of one Willet, for Forty Pounds, and was detained in Custody for Four Hours, and carried to a Spunging-house, though the House was at that Time sitting; and, upon the coming of the Plaintiff, who declaring the Petitioner was not the Man, he was discharged, and not before; and praying, that this House will take the Premises into Consideration, and give the Petitioner such Relief as to their Lordships shall seem meet:"

Ordered, That the said Petition be referred to the Consideration of the Lords Committees for Privileges; their Lordships to report the Fact, and their Opinion thereupon, to the House.
