PRAYERS.

Report concerning Course of Proceedings on Impeachments.

The Earl of Clarendon reported from the Lords Committees, appointed to consider of the Matter delivered by the Commons, at the Conference had on Friday last, in relation to the Course of Proceedings on Impeachments exhibited by the Commons; and to inspect Precedents, and report their Opinion to the House what is fit to be returned to the Commons in relation to the said Matter, as follows; (videlicet,)

"The Committee, upon inspecting the Journals of this House, do not find, that Writings, or Copies of Writings, delivered in by Persons impeached at the Time of their Confessions, or Pleas of Guilty, have been communicated to the Commons: However, the Committee are of Opinion (the Commons having desired it), that it may be reasonable, for the future, that all Writings, delivered in to the House of Lords by Persons impeached by the Commons, at the Time when they put in their Answers or Pleas, or true Copies of such Writings, shall be forthwith sent to the Commons."

Which, being read by the Clerk, was agreed to by the House.

Papers delivered by Persons impeached at the Time of their Pleading, to be sent to H.C.

And Resolved, That, for the future, all Writings, delivered in to the House of Lords, by Persons impeached by the Commons, at the Time when they put in their Answers or Pleas, or true Copies of such Writings, shall be forthwith sent to the Commons.

Ordered, That the said Resolution be communicated to the Commons, at a Conference.

Message to H. C. for a Conference about it.

Then, a Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Hiccocks and Mr. Fellowes:

To desire a Conference with that House, on Wednesday next, at Two a Clock, in the Painted Chamber, upon the Subject-matter of the last Conference.

Lords take the Oaths.

This Day John Lord Bishop of London, Jonathan Lord Bishop of Winchester, Charles Lord Bishop of Norwich, and Richard Lord Bishop of Gloucester, took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes; their Lordships having first delivered Certificates of their receiving the Sacrament; to the Truth of which Certificates, Witnesses were sworn, and severally examined.
