E. of Scarsdale and Ld. Hay, discharged from their Bail in The King's Bench.

The Earl of Clarendon reported from the Lords Committees for Privileges, to whom the Consideration of the Subject-matter of the Debate, arising on Friday last, touching the Earl of Scarsdale and the Lord Hay's being under Bail in The King's Bench, was referred, as follows:

"That the Committee having been informed, by One of the said Lords concerned, "That the Attorney General had this Morning acquainted the said Court of King's Bench, by His Majesty's Command, That it was His Majesty's Pleasure, the Bail given by the said Lords should be discharged;" the same was discharged accordingly. The Committee therefore offer it to the Consideration of the House, whether they should proceed in the Matter to them referred."

Ordered, That the said Committee be discharged from proceeding any further, in relation to the said Matter to them referred.

The Earl of Clarendon (according to Order) reported from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making the Laws for repairing the Highways more effectual, and for the better paving and cleansing the Streets in the City of London and Suburbs thereof," the Amendments made by the Committee to the said Bill, as follows:

And then the rest of the said Amendments were also read a Second Time, and severally agreed to.

Papists to register their Estates, &c. Bill:

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to oblige Papists to register their Names and Real Estates."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House.

Ld. Vise. Mountagu et al. Petition against it:

Then a Petition of the Lord Viscount Montaigu, Lord Viscount Fauconberg, the Lord George Howard, the Honourable Marmaduke Langdale, Sir William Gage, Sir William Goring, Sir Henry Bedingfeld Baronet, Thomas Stonor and Henry Nevill Esquires, for and on the Behalf of themselves and others, was presented to the House and read; praying to be heard, by their Counsel, against some Part of the Bill, intituled, "An Act to oblige Papists to register their Names and Real Estates;" by which they conceive themselves much aggrieved.

Ordered, That the said Petition do lie on the Table.

Penrdell et al. who were instrumental in the Preservation of K. Charles II. Petition for a Clause in the Bill.

Also, a Petition of Richard Pendrell, Mary Pendrell, and Francis Rigmaiden, on Behalf of themselves, and of John and Richard Pendrell, Thomas and Peter Gifford, Thomas Whitgrave, Thomas How, John Rogers, Edm'd Reynolds, Robert Freeman, Charles Birck, Robert Underhill, John Kempson, Christopher Molineux, William Fielding, Thomas Paleing, and Roger Culcheth, and other Descendants of those instrumental in the Preservation of King Charles the Second, in His Escape to, at, and from, The Royal Oak, was presented to the House, and read; setting forth, "That, in Consideration of their faithful Services to His said Majesty, He was pleased to grant several Estates in Trust, which are now branched out to the Petitioners Families, who are numerous and in a low Condition; and that they have in all Things behaved themselves peaceably and as obedient Subjects to His present Majesty (notwithstanding some of the late Disturbances happened in their Neighbourhood), and are resolved to continue their Obedience to him; and praying, That a Clause may be received in the Bill, now depending in this House, to oblige Papists to discover and register their Names and Real Estates, to the End the same (or any other Bills) may not extend to the Petitioners or their Estates; but that they may live freely, without being subject to the Laws against Papists."

Ordered, That the said Petition be referred to the Consideration of the Committee of the whole House to whom the said Bill is committed.

Ordered, That this House be put into a Committee upon the said Bill, on Friday next.

Mynde's Petition rejected.

A Petition of James Mynde, was presented to the House, and read; setting forth, "That, having unhappily fallen under the Displeasure of this House, by setting Counsel's Names to an Appeal between Rutter Senior and others Appellants, and Tyson Respondent; for his said Offence hath been in Custody of the Black Rod ever since the Seventh of May last, to the extreme Charge of the Petitioner, and Prejudice to him in his Business; and expressing his hearty Sorrow for his said Offence; and praying the Forgiveness of his said Crime, and to be discharged out of Custody."

Ordered, That the said Petition be rejected.

Coinage, &c. Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to continue Duties, for encouraging the Coinage of Money; and to charge the Duties on Senna as a Medicinal Drug; and for the appropriating several Supplies granted to His Majesty."
