ORDERED, That Sir Francis Winington, in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House,
for absenting himself from his Service in Parliament, be
discharged out of Custody, paying his Fees.
A. Turner's Estate.
An ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act
to enable the Trustees of Alice Turner Widow, and her
Children, to make Sale of certain Houses and Ground
in or near Lincoln's-Inn-Fields, in the County of Middlesex, during the Minority of the younger Children, was
read the Third time.
Resolved, That the Bill do pass.
Ordered, That Mr. Waller do carry the Bill to the
Lords, and acquaint them, That this House hath agreed
to the same, with an Amendment: To which Amendment
they desire their Lordships Concurrence.
Beverley's Estate.
An ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act
for vesting in Trustees the Estate late of Sir James
Beverley in Huntingtonshire, to be sold, was read the
First time.
Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.
African Company.
The House proceeded to take into Consideration the
Report from the Committee, to whom the Petition of
the Royal African Company of England was referred:
And the First Resolution of the said Committee was
read.
Resolved, That the further Consideration of the said
Report be adjourned until Tuesday Morning next.
Supply Bill; Duties on Salt, &c.
Sir Thomas Littleton, according to the Order of the
Day, reported from the Committee of the whole House,
to whom the Bill for granting to their Majesties certain,
Rates and Duties upon Salt, and upon Beer, Ale, and
other Liquors, for securing certain Recompences and
Advantages, in the said Bill mentioned, to such Persons as
shall voluntarily advance the Sum of Ten hundred thousand Pounds, towards carrying on the War against France,
was committed, That they had considered the same, and
the Petitions to them referred; and had made severa
Amendments, and added several Clauses to the Bill; which
they had directed him to report to the House; and which
he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered in at the
Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read thoughout.
And the said Amendments, and several of the Clauses,
being severally read a Second time, one by one, were
with some Amendments, agreed unto by the House.
An Exception being taken, That several long Clauses
were brought in to the said Committee; and also several
Clauses brought in, in the same Paper, as if the same was
one Clause; and admitted by the said Committee, and
directed to be reported to the House;
Ordered, That Sir Chr. Musgrave, Mr. Mountague, Sir
Tho. Clarges, Sir Edward Seymour, Mr. Harley, Mr.
Foley, do prepare, and bring in, an Entry, upon the
Debate of the House, to be made in the Journal relating
thereunto.
A Motion being made, and the Question being put,
That the House do now adjourn;
